Stayed here on the group on deal ,£99 for two nights with 3 course meal and breakfast each morning.Cant fault the breakfast at all but the evening meal on the limited menu deal had some awful cooking ...the fish & chips were deep deep fried and very dry! My steak off the main menu {£19.95} was over cooked along with the deep deep fried onion rings, not really enjoyable .The hotel itself was clean and tidy and rooms small but comfy. We had a great view of the river and mountains .This hotel would get a better review if the food was better because the staff were friendly and helpful .

Room Tip: "Riverside of the hotel has better views."

This was a two night stay booked via a KGB deal which included a three course meal on the first evening which represented excellent value for money.

Due to the limited mobility of one of the party, it was essential that the facilities were accessible and Lesley was happy to answer my questions and recommended two bedrooms that could be accessed via the quaint old lift without additional stairs.

The accommodation was spotlessly clean and warm and some areas appeared to have been refurbished recently without losing the old-fashioned feel.

The meals on the first evening (including mains of salmon and haggis stuffed chicken) were perfectly cooked and so good that the decision to dine a second evening in the hotel was an easy one to make.

The breakfast was superb but I would recommend placing your cooked breakfast order only when you have eaten your cereal/porridge to avoid it getting cold.

Staff were efficient and friendly making this an enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Some bedrooms restricted height - tall people check before booking

Stayed in april for a week with the family and a dog. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in the dining areas. The dog could stay in the bar area which was fine as you could eat there. Got it with Groupon, however I don't know why the need Groupon as it seems to be a popular hotel anyway. Room was pokey and the walls were thin, but adequate for our needs. Bar food was ok. Hotel decor in public areas was spot on for a scottish country hotel. Location was lovely. Will stay again!

Booked an overnight stay using itison voucher, the evening meal was tasty but nothing outstanding for the price. The en-suite was very small but okay for a short visit. The staff we found were very friendly and helpful until we went for breakfast ,when the waitress brought my husbands breakfast he said he had asked for baked beans which were not on the plate she grunted and went back to the kitchen returning with the correct plate which she before placing it down was adamant and stating that this was not initially requested. We found this very upsetting and her manner very abrupt and this has put us off from ever visiting this hotel again.

Room Tip: A lift is available to only some rooms so specify at time of booking if you require a room near the...

We spent three lovely days at the Killin Hotel recently.
The place has lots of charm and is set in a great location to explore the Trossacvhs and Loch Lomond.

The food is of a very high standard with big portions.
The Thai green curry aws out this world.

You simply have to give this place a go.

The staff were also excellent and polite.

Room Tip: Get a room facing onto the river. Great views watching the world go by.

We stayed in the Killin Hotel for 2 nights and I was not expecting
to stay in a boutique hotel, as I had read about this hotel, it to be charming
but old-fashioned with character, which it was, but it needs updating and
re-vamping. From the outside it looks great especially the location.
Money has been invested in a wonderful conservatory which is really nice,
the dining room is lovely, but the bistro is a led-down as the chairs are awful
and you can feel the springs, so the waitress very kindly gave me a cushion.
We changed the chairs but they were all the same.
The pub is nice with atmosphere.
Food was average, warmed up in the microwave, which was ashame.
But our room was too small for 2 people and the décor shabby. No room to put our
suitcases, it was on the third floor to be reached by stairs or lift from the 1940.
The bathroom was small and the shower cubicle needs replacing as it was broken.
The mattress on the bed also needs replacing as you can feel the springs!!
I informed the staff about this.
The staff tries their best to accommodate the customers and are very nice.
Andy at reception courteous and very helpful but his hands are tight.
Ladies that serve breakfast are very nice and friendly, and thanks to the staff
we enjoyed our stay in Killin with the wonderful countryside and Loch Tay, but next time
we shall stay in a B & B and leave the hotel to the people who come with organized
tours.

Room Tip: May-be avoid the third floor!

The hotel, public areas and restaurant itself are nice but in need of upgrading however we where placed in the annex building next to the main hotel. Our annex room though recently refurbished was not great, the mattresses and pillows are cheap and are uncomfortable, the en suite walls have been glossed (!) and the smell of paint is really strong and there is no mirror in the bathroom and the lighting is very dim. The TV is 17" and the sound and picture are constantly out of sync.
On the up side the staff are very friendly and the food is good though make sure you don't leave it until the last minute for breakfast as crockery and cups in short supply. I would potentially recommend the hotel but not the annexe.

Room Tip: If they give you an annex room don't open the curtain and expect a view there is none
