We booked a two night stay at the Killin Hotel for late March on Groupon. The deal was £89 for two nights bed and breakfast and full evening meal on 1st night.
It was 100% worth the money!!!
Trip up was beautiful, scenery is unbeleivable, even in the snow. On arriving we got a great big friendly welcome and immediatly relaxed and started to chill.
Room were good,, bed totally comfy and water piping hot and the shower was nice and strong. Downstairs the bar was very warm and cosy, with plenty of banter going on, prices were sensible. The main meal was terrific and breakfast was equally as good.
I can onlt recomend the hotel as fantastic, perfect for a chilled weekend away with nothing to do but all day to do it in. The staff were bang on the money, very helpfull and went out their way to look up any info we required. I would go back regardless of the deal offered, it really was that good.

Room Tip: Room 27, quite, big bed and plenty of room.

What a great place. Big roaring fires over looking river Tay. Lovely staff with excellent food and service. We ate every night of our stay and the food food was delicious. The rooms were clean we had to change rooms in the night due to a broken bed but the hotel were amazing couldn't be more helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. We take our dog with us too and he is totally spoilt by the staff

We had 3 nights B&B with a KGB voucher which included an evening meal on the first night. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our room on the 3rd floor was bright and clean with an electric shower so we didn’t have any problems with hot water. The room was a bit chilly so we asked for a heater which was promptly brought up. We had 2 evening meals and the food although plentiful, varied in quality but was served by delightful staff. Breakfast had something for everyone; serve yourself porridge; cereals; fruit; toast etc and then freshly cooked hot food to order; it set us up for the day!

The quirky old lift worked surprisingly smoothly and quietly and saved tired legs having to climb the stairs to the 3rd floor!

The surrounding village and area is beautiful – we were lucky enough to have sunshine and with the snow on the mountains everywhere was very picturesque.

The staff really make this place – they genuinely appeared to enjoy their work and to get on well with each other. Any request was met with ‘no problem’ and a smile. It’s not surprising that this hotel has so many great reviews. Thanks to all for a lovely stay.

From 19th to 21st March we spent a wonderful few days in Killin whilst staying at the Killin Hotel.
The village of Killin has a wonderful setting at the west end of Loch Tay, with the scenic Falls of Dochart and the wonderful vista of the Tarmachan Ridge and the Ben Lawers range.
The hotel is clean and comfortable with a cheery, friendly and hospitable staff. The room was warm and clean and the linen and towels were changed daily. Meals were varied and tasty with a Scottish emphasis. The open log fire in the bar lends a traditional and cheery ambience to the place. Well worth a visit!!!

Room Tip: Rooms on the eastern side have a loch view.

Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel overall was nice but could have done with an upgrade.Great location and the scenery to die for!! Food was awful!! 1st night we had fish pie and chicken/ham/leek pie, when we took the enormous puff pastry off both the fish pie had some suspicious minced fish and "1" prawn and the chicken pie was a dish mainly of leeks!! 2nd night we had vegetarian Lasange which consisted of 3 x 4inch square layers of pasta 2 were stuck together with nothing inside and a maximum of 1 table spoonful of courgettes in a tomato sauces the rest of the plate was full of Bechemel sauce, a couple of lettuce leaves and 1 small tomato cut into 4 all for £12.95 we also had the Mushroom ravioli @ £14.95 was more or less a plate of mushrooms!! Every dish was overpriced and revolting!! With a child and an elderly disabled person it was a captured audience!!

Room Tip: Rooms to the front of the Hotel have access to the free wifi

Cheerful staff who were helpful but not intrusive. Efficient service. Room was clean and large with fantastic views; it had everything we needed except instructions for the shower would have been helpful! Breakfast was very good. We had dinner there one night; the menu that night was fish-heavy so diappointing for meat-seekers but the food was delicious and plentiful.
