Should have written this sooner! My husband and I took my mother-in-law to stay for three nights at New Year and we all had a fabulous time! The staff, as ever, were most accomodating, especially Liz who is always on the ball and a great laugh. The rooms are lovely and have everything you need. I particularly loved our hugh sliegh bed! The food was super and did my diet no good at all! Yum yum. We hope to visit again soon! Our dogs, Teddy and Blaike enjoyed their stay too.

Just stopped here for coffee and scones. The scones were just out of the oven and the best I have tasted in a long time. They were made by the owner we were told. Fantastic. A lovely find after our walk.

Just back from having the Christmas Menu at the Falls Of Dochart Inn at £15 per head. The food was absolutely delicious with generous portions. A sophisticated and well varied menu which was fantastic value and I just don't know how they can do it at that price. We had a table close to the roaring coal and log fire in the very atmospheric olde-worlde bar. The staff could not do enough to ensure that we enjoyed our time there. A very pleasant experience which we will be repeating again.

We were a party of 6 (3couples) and we stayed Friday till Sunday. This is a beautiful hotel, set in idyllic surroundings, right on the falls. Betty & Liz are the most lovely people, and nothing was any trouble. Dom the chef was a lovely young man whose food was 5 star quality, and Ross(the owner) made a mean breakfast (stornoway black pudding amazing). A lovely open fire, which we hogged the whole weekend (sorry lol) is in the bar/restaurant, which, especially in this weather was an added bonus. The bedrooms were lovely, we were in room 2 and the room had everything we needed, bottled water, tea & coffee facilities and even a hairdryer. They were well presented, and I loved the spread at bottom of the bed and was told where I could purchase said spread. We will be back and will pass details on and sing the Inns praises to friends and family. I have one criticism....the other female who works alongside Betty & Liz ......Eileen or Irene (blonde) we didn't find her helpful or friendly, from the moment we arrived, (my partner and I were first there on early Friday) and this was a shame as all of the other staff were most welcoming and friendly. This will not mar our experience at the Falls of Dochart Inn....and we will return.

My husband and I have just returned from a fabulous four day stay at the Falls of Dochart Inn where we found the a warm welcome and superb service from the staff. The food was great too! We can't wait to return for the New Year celebrations!

We booked the Falls of Dochart Inn for the last night of our weeks tour around the West Highlands. It was a perfect ending to a fantastic week.
When we arrived the pub was quiet but so welcoming. There was a roaring fire and coupled with the friendly smile of the barmaid, we were so glad that we had chosen to stay here.
Our room was room 7, fitted out with a four-poster bed and a roll top bath in the large bathroom (complete with gorgeous smelling shampoos and shower gels). The room was well equipped and had lovely views and sound of the falls.
We spent our evening sitting in the pub and reading the papers. We also ate there and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. I would definitely eat here again.
The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. After noticing that we kept popping out for a cig, one of the staff mentioned to us that there was an outside area nearer to our room should we be desperate for a cig in the night. She didn't need to mention this (after all it wasn't an 'official' smoking area) but it just shows how thoughtful they are.
The next morning we had breakfast and it was one of the best breakfasts we had had all week. Really tasty and good quality ingredients.
When we checked out, we stopped next door to their cafe and gift shop because we really didn't want to leave. We kept popping back to chat to all of the staff as they were all so friendly.
We really had a warm welcome and felt very relaxed there.
The Falls of Dochart Inn is in such a beautiful location. We would love the chance to go back and stay again. It's just a shame it's so far from London.

Room Tip: Room 7 is lovely. Definitely eat in the bar area. Very dog friendly inn.
