We initially turned our nose up at the menu on offer at the Old Smiddy, however our 10 year old pushed us to go there as he didnt fancy anything at another nearby restaurant and thankfully he did.
We walked into a lovely warm and cosy bistro style restaurant and were given a very warm welcome, the restaurant is run by a husband and wife team - who are both immensely friendly and good humored.
My wife and i chose the Spaghetti Napolitan, i had mine with meatballs and i can honestly say i have never seen my wife polish off a meal faster than me,it was fantastic very tasty and hearty, the food is all freshly prepared and home made and you can tell. Our kids had pizzas and they loved these too.
Best of all was the pudding between us we had 2 Waffles and ice cream and 2 of the most amazing Sticky Toffee puddings we have ever tasted - these are home made using an old recipe passed down.
Please try the Old Smiddy, im sure you wont be disapointed, this was the best meal we'd had in Killin over a 4 night stay and if it hadnt been our last night we would have eaten their the following night too.
