Dragged the kids to see this wonderful art deco masterpiece.
They moaned and groaned yet in years to come it will enrich their soul.
It can be a tad pricey but I think it is well worth the money.
The views are also outstanding.
A must see.
I will return again it does inspire.

It's quite a hike from the center of Helensburgh but, for lovers of Charles Rennie Mackintosh, this is a must-see destination. Since it's a National Trust property, the entrance fee is pretty steep but upkeep of such a house is expensive. The interior is jaw-droppingly lovely and, when I was there, the decorations were complemented by exquisite flower arrangements. The ladies "on guard" in every room were very friendly and full of information.

We have been here several times recently with American and English visitors. The staff from the reception to room guides are very welcoming, knowledgeable and proud of their House. My only slight adverse comment or warning would be that if a coach party arrives the rooms can be a little crowded but that is one of the penalties for being a popular tourist attraction.
