A very interesting house and advance for his time considerably. who is interested in architecture must have a look inside.
But the garden has its charms and should be honored with a detailed walk.

Go late in the day as it's a lot quieter. We got there around 4pm and had the place virtually to ourselves. It's nice to have a stroll around the garden too.

Fascinating Art Nouveau design inside, a purity of style, colour and shape; friendly volunteers and cafe staff, nice small gardens. Don't miss it if you're in the area, especially recommended for art lovers!

Lovely building and a magnificent example of collaborative work between Mackintosh and his wife Margaret MacDonald.
The building itself however is the real jewel and I the most beautiful example of how living space should be used.
