We had such an amazing time at Stable Lodge! The place is impeccably presented and Leslie is a godsend with tips and information on what to do around the area.
The lodge is in just the right spot of a farm and you are welcome to roam around the property and enjoy the scenery.
We had lovely refreshments left for us upon our arrival and the locally made and hand cut shortbread was a favourite.
Supplied with games, films on DVD and plenty of wood for the log burner, we found ourselves not really wanting to leave.
Our son had a blast and enjoyed playing and running around the fields with our dog Mungo, who was most intrigued by the sheep.
All in all it was a wonderful holiday in a remarkably well kept lodge. Can’t recommend it enough! We will be back for sure!
Couldn't be happier with our visit to The Stable Lodge and we'll almost definitely go back sometime. Fantastic location, close to Loch Lomond, Stirling, Glasgow and only an hour or 2 from Glencoe so you're spoilt for choice when deciding what to do with your time. Local villages Drymen, Killearn and Balfron have a variety of great places to eat. Would highly recommend The Old Mill in Killearn. Look it up, delicious food. The Lodge itself is so well catered for, and all fixtures and fittings are first class. Lesley checked us in and provided a full overview of all the local things to do and places to eat. If you're thinking about booking here, don't think anymore, just book! You won't be disappointed!
I spent a few days here recently with my dad and brother and we had nothing but a wonderful experience. Everything is so well thought out and the decor and facilities are all first class. The place itself is situated amongst the most beautiful of backdrops and Lesley, who checked us in and looked after us, was beyond lovely. She couldn’t do enough to help and advise on the local culture. An absolute asset to the lodge. This perfect, cosy lodge is the ideal getaway and I cannot recommend it highly enough. You will not regret visiting.
What a fantastic place to stay. Beautiful lodge. Well laid out with excellent facilities. Stunning location with views to match. Dog friendly. We took our 2 Border Terriers & they had a fab time. Loads of walks on your doorstep & the enclosed decking is handy as well. 10min drive to Conic hill if you want an afternoon's climb. Half hour from both Stirling, Milngavie & Loch Lomond. Lesley, the lady who looked after us at the lodge was so helpful & friendly. Loved the log burner. Can recommend The Old Mill inn at Killearn.....only a 7min drive away. Fab meal. Children welcome.
Enjoyed our stay so much, we've booked to go back again next February.
Stayed at stable Lodge for 3 nights in October , Everything was perfect , so cosy and comfortable and well equipped with everything you could possibly need . We adored the log burner and the peace and tranquillity this little gem offers ! Had a super time walking our little dogs in the grounds . Lesley was the perfect host , very welcoming and friendly , with lots of local information on where to visit etc , Must mention The Old Mill inn nearby for lunches and suppers as the food was outstanding , well worth a visit and also pet friendly ! Already planning our next visit .

Lodge was like a home from home with everything you could need and was lovely to come back to after a day out and just chill with a Chinese carry out and log burner on.
Will definitely return Fiona and thanks for the wine and shortbread a lovely touch xx
This lodge is absolutely beautiful with five star furnishings. The great finishing touch must be the log burning stove. Will definitely be back
