Our family of 5 (3 kids aged 5-11) really enjoyed staying in this roomy and comfortable property. There's plenty of space to spread out (indoors and outdoors), while the stunning east shore of Loch Lomond and the cultural heritage of Stirling are both just a short drive away. Lovely location with great views (when the sun shines) -- really good value for money.
We stayed at Templelea Farm for a week. We are welcomed by Jean, a very lovely and kind lady. Communication before and after arrival was accurate and prompt. The accommodation is first class everything. It is a perfect location for exploring Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Every window in the house have a stunning view. We loved waking up with the view of grazing sheeps. Our daughter who is 3 1/2 loved running around the grass field and greeting the sheeps. It is very private, quiet and peaceful. We recommend it! Thank you very much.
The cottage was fantastically located, 10 minutes drive from Loch Lomond. It was very well equipped - plenty of cooking utensils, luxurious bathrobes and bed linen, even balls and games for playing with in the garden. The views from the house are gorgeous and there are even bats to watch in the dusk. Jeanette was very helpful and a wonderful host.
We spent a relaxing week here and were thoroughly impressed with Templelea farm cottage. It is clean, spacious, well equipped and it feels like a home from home. The views are stunning and we loved the pipe band performance in Drymen green (held on Thursday evenings throughout the summer.) Thank you Jeanette for a lovely place to stay.
We had a lovely time at this bungalow. It was a home from home and enabled us to have a lovely holiday with our son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren (who loved running round the large garden and collecting gravel). It was only 3 or 4 miles from the nearest shop and a few more to Balloch, Loch Lomond and Aberfoyle. We like to go to a different location for holidays each year, otherwise we would definitely return. But Loch Lomond is very tempting!
We’ve just returned from our second stay at Templelea Farm Cottage and are pleased to say that nothing has changed. The cottage was clean, cosy and well equipped. The beds are also extremely comfortable.
The property is very spacious, with lovely views out to the back of the garden and surrounding fields and at the front you have the beautiful Campsie Fells.
The wifi was quicker than we are used to at home too.
The area is very peaceful and the location is perfect for walking in and around Aberfoyle and Loch Lomond.
For easy to follow marked out walks, the Queen Elizabeth Forest Park in Aberfoyle is ideal and is only about 15 – 20 minutes drive away. The Visitors Centre have maps or if you park just outside Milton, there are maps that can be taken from the information board.
We would love to go back to this cottage, it gives us everything we could want and we haven’t seen anywhere else in the area that comes close to providing the space, peace and perfect location.
This cottage, being a family house, makes you feel at home. It's probably even better than home: luxury mattresses, fine furniture, large rooms, comprehensive equipment and linen, quiet and beautiful environment... This house boasts everything you want to spend a perfect holiday. It is also ideally situated for Loch Lomond attractions, Aberfoyle/Callander/Loch Katrine walking paths as well as the Stirling area.
This cottage is definitely a couple of notches above all self-catering places we have used so far.
