Spent two nights here, with use of spa facilities and pool ect while attending a wedding near by. Staff where friendly and on the whole food was good! Some great walks near by, and generally a nice place to stay. Would recommend it.

went to this hotel with voucher from itison to enjoy a relaxing morning in the swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room - wonderful and relaxing. This was followed by a very nice afternoon tea with sandwiches, cakes, scones and pot of tea and coffee. really nice. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Room Tip: did not stay overnight - but would love to.

Stayed for 2 nights in an upgraded room (number 48) which was huge with a sitting area and a very large and well fitted bathroom. The rooms have obviously been redecorated fairly recently and ours was in good condition except for the curtails which did not completely cover the windows when closed and had lots of missing hooks. I noticed the same problem with the curtains in the guest lounge - why do hotels not replace curtain hooks - it is hardly rocket science and yet not doing so makes the place look unloved and run-down.
We also had to search for the bar man on several occasions in order to be served.
On the positive side the leisure facilities were good and we had a very nice meal in the restaurant one night. Breakfasts were ok - we had been spoiled by superb guest house breakfasts for 6 days prior to staying here so were probably a little too picky.
It was reasonable value for what we paid but just frustrating as it could be so much better if there were more attention to detail.

We stayed here on a Package Deal, which included Dinner (allows up to £20 pp) and Breakfast - We thought that it was excellent value for money. Our room was large with a huge, comfy bed. The hotel was full when we stayed, as it is a very popular venue for weddings and we did experience some disturbance late at night when other guests were returning to their rooms. The hotel has a leisure centre, which includes a gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and a very small pool but it's a decent enough size for a quick dip. Also on site is an excellent Spa "The Haven", which offers wonderful massage treatments.

If you fancy a wedding venue that says 'Scotland' without feeling like a shortbread tin for tourists and 'Loch Lomond' without the massive price tag of the hotels on the water, then this is the place for you.

We got married at the Buchanan Arms in September and it was a great day which the hotel played a massive role in. In the months running up to the wedding we were constantly popping up to view and re-view rooms and locations. The wedding coordinator had no problems with this and was always available in person or via phone and email to help with our questions or advise of the feasibility of our more specific ideas.

On the day the all the staff made sure all the guests were kept happy but especially want to give a big shout out to Gayle who made sure the majority of our plans and day ran smoothly.

In terms of the hotel facilities the rooms we used where cosy, clean and comfortable, the breakfast had loads of choice, the spa/pool was excellent and the garden features were perfect for photos. We did not eat in the restaurant but if the food was as good as the wedding meal then I'm sure its delicious. Bar prices are on the higher end but its a hotel and its no different from any other venues we looked at.

Just forgot....like I said you may not be on Loch Lomond but there is a lovely viewpoint across the road where you can see the Loch and the surrounding hills. Enjoy.....

Hotel was good, the leisure facilities were fantastic, the only thing I had a problem with was we found toenail clippings down the side of our bed that had been from a previous occupant of the room. The food and drink was a little on the expensive side however the food was delicious. Would recommend to another party.

Stayed for one night in the hotel. Thoroughly enjoyed my evening meal, was quick service and found it reasonably priced. My bedroom, room 4, was alright but nothing special. A bit tired and dated, I would say and also too noisy. It is next to the toilets and the hand dryer can be heard frequently! The owner has since informed me that this situation is being rectified. The best bit of the stay without a doubt was spending time in the Haven Spa. The owner and his staff were fantastic and the treatments were really good. The relaxation room is really peaceful and it is hard not to doze off in there after a nice relaxing massage! Would definitely recommend booking in here for a bit of pampering if you are in need of a wee bit of 'me time'. Lovely village to have a little wander round too.

Room Tip: Room 4 was noisy but the source of the noise is being removed (hand dryer)!
