“Fantastic Experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

We have just had a fanastic 3 night stay at The Drymen Inn. On arrival the young lad who dealt with us could not have been any more helpful and once we collected our luggage from the car we were assisted to our room with this, this doesn't seem to happen in a lot of places these days. We have visited the area on several occasions, usually staying at one of the larger hotels very nearby but this is the first time we have stayed at The Drymen Inn, be assured, we will return!. Every single member of the working team could not have been any more attentive to you if they tried................nothing was too much bother. The room was everything it needed to be, excellent comfortable bed, big wardrobe which was a bonus and a tv and the usual tea/coffee. The room was extremely clean. We ate in the restaurant on 2 of the evenings and the food was excellent, restaurant standard, not the run of the mill "pub grub". Breakfast was everything you would want and you can have what you want if you do not want the full scottish breakfast.

The family running The Drymen Inn only opened up 11 months ago and we wish them all the luck in the world.

We have had a fantastic stay, and we have fantastic weather as well which is a massive bonus!!

If you are planning on visiting this area The Drymen Inn is a must!

Had an eight day break in Drymen and stayed the Drymen Inn the first night before moving to one of the villages bigger hotels for the rest of our stay. There was a great welcome on arrival, we were shown to our room which was a decent size, clean and tidy. Over our eight days we ate there 3 times (food was excellent) and popped in a few more times to enjoy a beer in the garden at the rear. It's a busy place and attracts both visitors and villagers alike, so I guess they're doing something right !! Would definately stay again (It puts one of the bigger hotels to shame) Keep it up.

This Restaurant with rooms tussles for position in a crowded local market.
On this occasion we visited the restaurant for lunch. I can not comment on the quality of the overnight accommodation.
We had driven to Drymen and decided to sit outside in the scorching heat of the Scottish Summer. We found a table shaded by a parasol and took our seats. Customers are invited to go inside to order at the bar.
The menu was proffered and immediately our hearts sank: this was far too large a menu for the small kitchen to be able to prepare everything from fresh. The Administrator opted for the smoked salmon salad while I would sample something from their 'specials': Chicken Kiev.
The 'Kiev' was outside-in. In fact it was fried chicken topped with a pat of butter flecked with some anonymous herb. There was no trace of garlic flavour.
This business needs to try harder if it is going to thrive alongside the local competition.

Room Tip: Looking for Lunch? Try another local restaurant.

During our stay in Drymen we found the Drymen Inn. When walking in we were kindly greeted and led to our table. The menu had enough choice and was reasonably priced. Our orders were served fast and the presentation was a feast for the eye and only surpassed by the taste. We surely recommend this establishment to anyone staying any time in drymen

I arranged a birthday lunch at the Drymen Inn for my mothers 65th Birthday today. The food was absoulately delicious. The customer service was really second to none. The staff were not only helpful but very friendly and attentive especially James and the young lady assisting him!! We would definately return and maybe for a long weekend with my girlfriend. I would definately recommend the Drymen Inn. We can not sing their praises enough. Try the Drymen Inn, You wont regret it.

We stopped off at the Drymen Inn on the way back from Dunblane. Was highly impressed by the choice on the menu and the food was wonderful too. The staff were very friendly as were the two ladies who were at the next table. Would certainly return.
