Received a very friendly welcome and assisted with luggage to our room. Room was spotless with extremely good decor. Hospitality tray provided with tea and coffee.
Beds very comfortable.
The Inn had a large attractive bar and dinner was served in their new glass house restaurant. A good menu was very tasty and nicely presented. Food and wine good value. We enjoyed a good Scottish breakfast and despite the early start staff were bright and friendly.

Only negative comment was out and bathroom were a little small

It should be borne in mind that this is an Inn or Bar/Restaurant with rooms but not a hotel. Consequently it lacks the services and normal attributes that a hotel provides. The rooms are fairly standard perhaps lacking sound-proofing but clean and comfortable with a pleasant contemporary decor. Having said all that most of the prospective patrons would not really need a trouser press nor a breakfast tray with smoked salmon and champagne! The outstanding attributes are the excellent food served in a relaxed pleasant cosy bar/diner by enthusiastic friendly young staff. Even the breakfast is real quality and the dinner provided a big enough attraction not just for its own in-house guests but had a draw for neighbouring accomodation. This meant it was justifiably nearly full every night I has there. A small criticism might be that the young staff could do with a little more training and/or direction but it doesnt really detract from the overall experience.Their willingness to help and congenial disposition of all employees more than compensates - particularly Johnnie from Dublin! This is a great base in a nice village from which to explore the lovely surrounding countryside.

Great little spot for a lunch. Service was superb, and attentive from the moment we walked in the door. Not suffocating just pleasant conversations and lead to a table right away. Starter was fine and then the Burger was PDB. Moist/juicey with cheese, bacon and onion rings, chips and salad. The Onion rings were a master stroke. Batter crisp and just right, bite into it and your through to onion which has just sen the heat, cooked to perfection and worth the journey alone.
Coffee and then home for a rest...can't beat it.

Easy run our of Glasgow and well worth the money...try it and see.

We went there for a family weekend, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The hospitality & service was excellent. The food was to a high standard with a good variety of choice including a nice hearty breakfast.
The inn has recently been refurbished with the owners creating a lovely social atmosphere.
Whether you just want to relax with a nice pint & or have a great dinner you can't go wrong with the Drymen Inn.
We're already planning our next stay.

We went as a group of 4 to The Drymen Inn , for a meal on Wednesday 13th March , as a wee informal celebration of my father's 84th birthday !
The service was superb , from the moment we were greeted at the door , until the moment we left !
All our needs were expertly attended to, by a very professional young Irish gentleman whose sense of humour and a gift with the craic /banter was superb ! The meal was superlative and the service faultless ! The whole evening was totally memorable !
We will be recommending the Drymen Inn with great enthusiasm to everyone . thankyou ....

We visited for the first time on Tuesday and we are taking all the family back on Saturday. The mums are to be treated. The owners are simply charming and have found staff to match. I sense possibly some may even be from their own but cant be certain. They have cleverly used the interior to showcase their style and understanding of what the customer wants. This is my first ever review but I am moved to write it because how we all enjoyed our day trip via the Drymen Inn en route to Loch Lomond. I am simply bowled over by the place, hope you will be to. The owners have thought of every detail... even with coat hangers under the very swanky bar! Makes me happy anyway. Brilliant. The food is delicious.... I had Prawn Linguine which was fabulous and my Mum and JoJo both had the vegetarian option. My mum said it was the best vegetarian meal she has ever had, no small claim. They have lovely rooms and is the perfect venue for a pint or a glass of wine, a good feed and a relaxing kip. I even noticed a Bottle of man of the match Champagne on the bar. I didn't like to ask how they got something that might normally live in Steven Gerrard's house but maybe i will on Saturday... honestly, Tom the owner doesn't look like he has played for a Junior team never mind a Premier league one! I've since been on their website and that is also worth a look. Hope you can take the time to visit, and that you enjoy it as much as we did. Grant, Jo, Luca and Nana

We had lunch at this great village inn last Friday. There were 4 of us all mixed ages and one was my daughter aged five who had the children's menu. All food is freshly prepared and worth the wait albeit our drinks and food were all served promptly. Starters were Haggis Spring Rolls, Chicken Liver Pate and Red Pepper soup - and mains were Lamb Shank, Steak and Ale Pie and Chicken Supreme and my daughter had home made Pizza and home made chips (special treat). Food was excellent and service and welcome from the family is first class. Well worth a drive out or stop on your way to Loch Lomond - and they also have ensuite rooms. We will certainly visit again!
