We were on our way to Dundee and decided on the spur of the moment to pop into Drymen for lunch. As we passed the Hotel we saw their was a wedding on and continued up the main street to where we saw the Clachan Inn on the corner. We entered to the left and found a Classic working mans pub, we went into the right and it was a total re-take, the Lounge was almost full of couples all having Lunch. We took over one of the only two remaining tables and our order was taken by a very pleasant and efficient lady who appeared to be in charge of the lounge. upshot was the Steak pie was all home-made and Top Notch..The Inn is only an hour from our home so you betcha we will be back.. top notch food at very reasonable prices.

Recomended by our B&B manager and we were not disappointed. Went to the Clachan two out of three nights we were in the area and enjoyed food and atmosphere both times.

“Good home cooked food”

We had a very nice meal with home cooked food and an excellent barmaid/waitress. The St Andrew's beer was very good.

“Fresh food in a traditional setting”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 7, 2014 via mobile

A lovely traditional little pub with restaurant. The decor is very traditional but suited to the venue. A real fire just added to the traditional feel and made the while place feel very homely. It's quite a small menu but the food is lovely fresh. The specials were great and varied. Decent sized portions and good service.
