Having spent New Year at The Winnock Hotel previous years we just had to return and I must say it just gets better. We had a wonderful 3 days everything was faultless. The staff cannot do enough make you feel welcome. Everyone is so friendly and efficient. A special mention to Tracy on reception and Adam on the bar.
The food was excellent. The New Years Eve meal was 5 *. Fillet steak and Venison cooked to perfection. New Years Day evening seafood buffet was a magnificent sight. Lobster, prawns, smoked salmon all local produce and very very nice.
The staff worked so hard both nights and put in alot of time and effort to make the New Year celebrations perfect.
Thank You to everyone who made our New Year special. We will be back .

Have just returned from our first Parrys Coaches new year break at the Winnock. I have to say our journey to Scotland was professional and well organised thanks to Tom and Aiden our crew. Check in was speedy!!!! But then we went into our room? As we had not been to the hotel before we thought ok it's not great but it's clean, went for a wonderful dinner with great entertainment but quickly realised our room was right above it, oh we'll we thought its new year and we don't intend to be in bed at 10.
Day two New Year's Eve!!! From 5.30 till 6.30 the next day the noise well, we didn't sleep a wink mad worse when we found out our room was nothing like the standard of all the others on the coach. Spoke to David the general manager and was assured all the people on our landing were leaving that day!!!! When we returned from our afternoon out I walked into reception to see all the guests making the noise seating there. Now don't get me wrong I am not a killjoy but why these guests weren't all put together and we were plonked amongst them is beyond me. Anyway a lovely lady on reception called Tracy saw our plight and moved us within 5mins to a lively modern quiet room were all our other coach guests were...... The last two nights were bliss, the wonderful staff the food, entertainment and our lovely new room.
One of the wonders of the Winnock is how they provide so many people with wonderful food so quickly and efficiently it's impressive. I am British and very very good at putting up with things I am not happy with, my fault but I know that had I have spoken to the hotel sooner they would have moved us straight away if it was in there power.
A massive thank you to everyone at the Winnock, and a special shout out for Tracy, for turning a huge negative into a positive.

Went to a Crime Dinner And had a great time. The room could have done with a bit of TLC, lovely hot water for the bath though.
We had a three course meal, very good food, service polite and efficient, nice ambient.
Cosy evening spent in front of an open fire, nothing better on a cold evening.

A group of 8 of us travelled with edwards coaches for a 4 night stay over new years eve. What a fantastic time we had. Everything was just so lovely - fabulous food, staff, customer care and service; entertainment and location of hotel. We couldnt have wished for better. Would definately recommend it to others and would definately return myself. Just one little thing was that the rooms need a bit of TLC and a shower head holder and curtain. But everything else was first class. Happy new year all at the winnock and well done because you all worked so hard to ensure all visitors hada. Fab time.

I recently stayed over at the Winnock for a murder mystery evening, with my Sister,Niece and friend.Lovely location and very friendly check in.We were allocated two of the refurbished rooms, which were very spacious and clean. The murder mystery took place in the lovely conservatory area and continued over the dinner. The food was fabulous and staff were friendly and attentive. After dinner there was a karaoke in the bar which was a great end to our evening.Next morning we were running late for the murder conclusion and the very helpful young duty manager went to great lengths to keep breakfast warm for us.Nothing was any trouble for him.All in all a very enjoyable stay.

Room Tip: Just ask for a refurbished room, we were in 90 and 91.
