Stopped here for a simple lunch and received a very warm welcome from the friendly staff.
I had lentil soup and a ham and tomato sandwich and my husband had the steak baguette.
The food was of a good quality and value for money.
This place has great potential, cosy and comfortable with real log fires and exposed natural stone work but the dated furniture looks like it surrvived a 1970's social club and the glare from the gambling machine detracted from the country pub feel.
It wouldn't take much to make this a fabulous wee hostelry.
