Stayed here for a 3 night DB&B deal. Our room was large and well-furnished and although it was above the kitchens, it was very quiet. The bathroom was large and modern although the shower head was positioned very low on the wall and it was not possible to adjust it. Dinner was very good, with a nice choice of dishes each night. My only complaint was that the dessert was served in very small bowls and made it difficult to scoop out all the delicious pudding. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty to eat, both continental and cooked.
Although a coach party was staying at the hotel, this did not cause any delay to service. There was a mix-up as we checked out with us being charged for a bottle of wine we did not have. However this was quickly sorted out.
The Winnock is a lovely traditional hotel in an excellent location for visiting the countryside and Glasgow.
