Stayed in a 2 bedroom cottage with a comfy living room, fully equipt kitchen and bathroom with tioletteries. The bedroom upstairs was cosy and clean and the bedroom downstairs had a double decker bed. The sheets and bedding was clean and smelled good. Was really happy to find the place clean as I am very picky abt cleanliness. We comfortably cooked and enjoyed our meal on a small dining table and even had our clothes washed and dried in a day as there was also a washing machine and dryer. Would definitely stay here again on my next trip.

This was our first stop of a "grand tour " of Scotlands NW. when i say grand tour i use the Yorkshire meaning of tour ie lovely not Grand as in full european as in older times. On arrival we were greeted by John and made to feel most welcome. The room was ensuite , relatively small but wonderfully clean as was the bathroom. There were tea making facilities and biscuits ( very nice after a long day)There was a great place to eat a few mins away by foot. We were given a list of options for breakfast . We duly selected everything on the list and were rewarded next morning by a plate full of the best quality (award winning) fare you could imagine beautifully cooked. We rounded off this with "Granny Campbell's" home made marmalade on toast. It was a shock to find out that Granny was actually 6 foot + built like a brick outhouse and called John!!!.
The parking is excellent and well off the road for those in classic cars and a real plus is that John does take cards. We will go again on our way to the north coast next time.

Room Tip: An ensuite is the best way to go

I went with my husband and 3 year old kid, the place is very nice and cozy. Our bathroom wasn't attached to the room but other rooms had the bathroom attached. Bothways were very nice. There's a place to eat just 5 min from the house, people are very friendly and they had tasty fish plates. John was very nice and the breakfast was great.

We stayed here as a stop over on our road trip of the Highlands and Islands. John was very welcoming and the room, although on the smaller side, had everything we needed. Great cooked breakfast and lovely surroundings, with a good choice of food in the village, which is only a five minute walk away. Reccommended!

We were a family of 4 and stayed for one night en route home. Overall the place had character and charm. John was a great host and great with the children. The breakfast was fantastic and service excellent. The number of midges was incredible - not the owners fault obviously but worth knowing if you don't want to be eaten alive at certain times of the year. The walls are very thin so take earplugs if you are a lighter sleeper, also the double bed wasn't great, you could feel the springs. Nice touch with the bathrobes and plenty of shampoo, toiletries , tea coffee biscuits etc.
I felt it was a nice B&B which needs TLC, a few refurbs and is complimented with accommodating great service.

Room Tip: Take strong insect repellent and spray
