We have driven past this delightful place in the middle of nowhere but this time decided to stop for lunch. Great decision. Staff welcoming, lovely warm place in a cold wet day and the food.... Stovies to die for. Then home baking with superb coffee. What a place

We were walking along an old railway line and it was time for refreshment. We were pleased to find this place, we were made to feel very welcome, (some places look down on walkers with our dirty shoes). We had a nice snack from an extensive menu and a drink as well.
The owner was really friendly and helpful and the place was really nice.

We couldn't get into our first choice for dinner and ended up here. What a beautiful setting in the conservatory. I had my first black pudding and enjoyed the exchange with the staff who wanted me to try it first before telling me what was in it. The food was good, not great, but I would return just for the friendliness and setting.
