Myself and 2 friends were walking the West Highland Way in March and had booked into Bay Cottage on our first night. On arrival we were greeted by the owner who was a lovely wee woman. She made us feel very welcome and after showing us around she left us to get ready while she put a couple of logs on the fire and made us some tea, scones and cakes. Again she made us feel very welcome and spent some time talking to us about the cottage and Balmaha as a whole. She had already explained to us when booking that there was an outside hot tub and she had it ready for us on arrival. After explaining how to use it she left it with us to use as and when we wanted to. There's something about sitting outside in a hot tub while snow is falling all around you that is very surreal but very enjoyable. The following morning we had breakfast before we set off on the Way and it was well worth it. The breakfast was very well presented and very nice to eat also.
Certainly would have no hesitation recommending Bay Cottage to anyone. A very lovely Cottage run by a very lovely woman.More
