“Cozy place - Lake location”
Reviewed October 18, 2013 via mobile

Recently stayed 3 nights at the inn and it was the perfect start-out place for exploring Loch Lomond and the surrounding area. The Conic Hill path is just a 2 minute walk away along with many other things to see very close by.

The rooms were very clean, but seemed old though and could need a little upgrade. The breakfast was great, the staff super friendly and restaurant/bar perfect for eating good food at night or just get a drink. They have more than 100 whiskies to try.

Hope to come back again some day and enjoy this area.

Beautiful Autumn day walk from Drymen over Conic Hill and down to the Oak Tree for lunch before walking back. Bar was busy with walkers and family day trippers, happy and comfortable with a roaring fire. We ordered two burgers and two pints of stout, I went with the house special and my companion had the cheeseburger, both came with ample chips and salad. We enjoyed both and the drinks before heading back with a full stomach and tired legs.

Supposed to be camping, but weather on first night was forecast to be bad so we booked that night in the Oak Tree Inn, which we found out about via Tripadvisor. The rooms were so comfortable and the staff so friendly and helpful, the camping equipment was taken into the room to remove weight from the car, and we stayed here for the whole 4 days.
We had a twin room, which was clean and comfortable, with lovely little individual pieces of decor.
The staff went out of their way to accomodate us, and at one point even made phone calls to a place we wished to visit in order to see that it was open. Nothing seemed too much trouble for them.
A lovely rustic looking dining room and good food served in it too.
I would forgo camping any time to stay here again.
If I had one complaint, and it is such a minor one - could you please put 2 packs of biscuits on the courtesy tray in the rooms :).

Just home from a one night stay at the Oak Tree.Nothing but high praise, from checking in,to checking out.The Inn itself is full of quirky bits and bobs, super bar,and a great menu all day.Good outdoor seating, with a second to none location.Standard of food very good,as was our room..Excellent bathroom and shower...Lots of hot water..Nice decor and linen..Very good towels.
This establishment commands a high standard, which is self evident. A big thanks to all......And see you again....That's for sure

As part of a party of 15, we had food and drinks here after a climb up Conic Hill.

The service and food were both very good.

We had informal arrangements to come down, but nonetheless it was greatly appreciated that the staff managed to fit such a big group in and for the service to be practically seemless.

Reasonable prices and a comfortably large, varied menu. In a stunning location too. The Oak Tree is definitely worth a visit as part of a day out by the Loch or on the hills.

This was the first stop along the West Highland Way for me, my husband and my 15 yr old son. Such a welcome sight to see the Oak Tree Inn immediately in front of us. Staff could not have been more helpful. We stayed in the bunk room with our own en-suite shower/toilet. Loved the wee touches - shortbread with the coffee and earplugs!!! Evening meal was great quality and excellent value for money. Free wifi was excellent - photos uploaded in no time at all. Bunks were sooo comfortable - the best nights sleep I have had for ages. Shop next door was not overpriced and with the left over pizza from the night before (which the staff had happily boxed up for us) we were set for lunch. Would highly recommend. We will be back...
