“Oak Tree Inn Balmaha, Loch Lomond”
Reviewed March 15, 2013

Excellent small hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond. We stayed for 2 nights in one of the cottages (Room 24) which has French doors leading out to your own Decking space with table and chairs. The weather didnt lend itself to sunbathing during our stay, but it was still nice to go out and admire the views over the loch. The bar & restaurant are very welcoming with a couple of beers brewed on the premises. Food is first class and plentiful. Suggest trying the Sticky Toffee Pudding. Louise in the bar is one of he nicest people you will meet in any hotel. I was so pleased with my visit, that I have booked a couple of nights for my daughter and her husband. We will certainly return to this lovely inn during the summer months.

Room Tip: Room 24 in the cottage would be my best choice. I have said that the pool and fitness centre were...

A really friendly welcome, great food, beer from their own microbrewery, and a lovely room in one of the cottages.

We spent a weekend here in room 61. We were expecting a double room and got enough space for a family of 5 in room 61. It's a very quiet and peacful place with the incredible scenery. If you are a walker, this will be heaven for you.

The staff were great, hard working and really freindly.

Thanks a million to Lucy, Sandy and Ben.

Room Tip: Go for room 61.

This hotel is sooo nice. Theres nothing bad to say about it. Its the second time we've stayed here and hopefully wont be the last. Rooms are very comfortable. Food - really good. The bar has a lovely log fire which is great at this time of year (March) .
Location good to - very close to to Ben Lomond if your into walking.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: I have had a twin room previous and it is very small. Go for a standard double - same price but much...

we stayed over the valentines weekend, we had a superior double in the B&B. It has to be the best b&b we've stayed for the size of room and the thought and design put into the room, we were really happy. The location is beautiful and so peaceful. we ate in the restaurant which is really quirky and country styled. the food was superb and we had a great night. the only slight negative was the breakfast buffet was really busy the next morning and it wasn't really kept on top of as much so we were kept waiting for pieces of cutlery and had to wait for the buffet to be restocked but overall this didn't impact on our great stay. i would definitely recommend, cosy and romantic.

Myself and boyfriend stayed here on our way back down south from the Highlands. As a Highlander myself I usually take the A9 back to Glasgow but as we had time we took the West Highland Way through Glencoe which was amazing. It took longer then we had planned and due to this arrived in early evening at this gorgeous and quaint inn. The first impression was wonderful and the service and cleanlines continued to impress us! We had dinner in the bar as the charm and roaring fire made it so cosy. The meal was hearty and fresh with the service again being great. Our room was clean, spacious and warm, we had an early night and slept very well. Breakfast was a buffet but the produce remained fresh and well prepared. We plan to go back to enjoy a bottle of wine by the fire very soon!

We've eaten here a number of times and NEVER been disappointed. Staff are always friendly and helpful, food always of an excellent standard.
First time we have stayed, won't be the last.
Would recommend to everyone, but would hate to see it mobbed.
