We enjoyed 2 nights here and the location just moments from the loch is fantastic. There are great walking trails all around this area for both casual and experienced hikers. The inn has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and the food was good hearty pub food including haggis alongside an extensive pizza menu. We found the staff to be great and liked the fact the pub and restaurant was always busy and with a good buzz, and a roaring winter fire. It is also opposite the visitor centre for information and maps. The only downside for us was the room. The bed was very uncomfortable, and the bathroom was functional but out-dated. The walls are also very thin so we could hear noise from adjacent rooms, and small details like a broken clock and light that didn't work were indicitive of an overall lack of attention to detail. It didn't affect our overall enjoyment, as we didn't spend much time in the room. We were in a room in the main building, and reading other reviews, it sounds as if the nearby cottages are renovated and a much higher standard. So overall I would recommend the inn, but would ensure you book a renovated room in one of the cottages.

Stayed in one of the cottages, really beautiful, and spotlessly clean, having read the reviews was a bit worried about noise, shouldn't have worried noise was not a problem. So peaceful with gorgeous views of the loch, Our own private little garden was an added bonus, where we could sit with a glass of wine and take in all the surrounding beauty. Everything in the cottage was lovely, The ensuite with underfloor heating and amazing shower, was stunning as was the bedroom . We eat next door in the hotel, where the service was always with a smile and food delicious, Had a really enjoyable 2night break at the Oak Tree Inn, we will certainly be returning.

I booked 2 nights B&B for an amazing price, so although my standards are high, my expectations were not so. We were greeted with a warm and very friendly lady who upgraded us for no apparent reason. It was during the October holiday and there was a lovely autumnal busy buzz in and around the Inn. Our room was in one of the VERY close cottages. It was immaculate and finished to a high standard. We had lovely patio doors which opened onto a small private garden exclusively for our use with wider garden beyond and a lovely view over the loch. A massive plus for me was underfloor heating in our lovely ensuite and control of the heating in our room. Dinner in the restaurant was very enjoyable especially with our voucher for 20% off. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We had a minor hiccup on second night with a rude waitress when we went to eat in the bar. This was taken very seriously by the owner, Sandy. His standards are evidently very high. We had a lovely break. Cannot recommend highly enough! Special thanks to Sandy's daughter who waited us each morning with a lovely smile.

The Oak Tree inn is a lovely family run place in a beautiful location on the banks of Loch Lomond. The staff were exceptionally friendly and accommodating (even facilitating the safe return of my daughter's cuddly toy that we left in the room). It is a haven for walkers on the West Highland way. The hearty food served in the restaurant is a treat after a day walking. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We stayed in room 8 - a family room with a double bed, single and another camp bed. There was a huge tv and earplugs provided (I'm presuming it might be noisy in the peak of summer as we were above the restaurant). My only minor complaint would be the lack of curtain or blinds in the bathroom (unlikely anyone could see in because of the trees but it still felt a little exposed!). Would definitely recommend for an autumn getaway.

Had a great time here, lovely room in the Cottary cottage , very clean. Helpful pleasant staff. Good food at reasonable prices. TV at least 36 inches wall mounted. shower spacious and piping hot water. Would definitely go back.

Room Tip: Cottage rooms more private, 3 minute walk to restaurant, well worth a few pounds extra.
