me and my fiancee went here on the fri and stayed for 2 days and it was the most relaxing time of our lives we both totally loved it and will definitely go back, the lodge took our breath away, one tiny negative was that you have to book in to late @4p.m and check out to early @10 a.m although we slept in and it was nearer 11am and they were fine about it,overall it was excellent and highly recommended 10/10

Room Tip: the diamond room was amazing

Overall our stay for the 4 nights in March 2012 was excellent. I agree that they are not quite 5 stars, however, a few attention to details like cobwebs on the grounds etc and they will be. The standard of the accommodation was very high, and fully equipped. We had no maintenance issues at all, however, the outside could have been doing with some tidying up and cleaning e.g. doors/windows. We had fabulous weather which helped, so sun loungers would have been perfect but not available. Unusual for Scotland that weather !

Bathrooms were to an excellent standard. Bedrooms possibly missing a TV for those who wanted to retire early.

The Chef in the Lodge service I would highly recommend and give 6 stars! Worth every penny, and the Chef and Help were excellent.

We will definitely stay there again............

Room Tip: The one level lodges were perfect for six people as each couple although only two bedrooms, still ha...

I agree with the previous reviewer: this is not really 5 star accommodation. That said, the lodges are very spacious, warm, clean and reasonably equipped (with the exception of cutlery and crockery). The bathrooms in our lodge were excellent. As stated by the previous reviewer, the windows were dirty - I cleaned the inside of ours to get rid of the nose marks from our dog at the end of our stay - and ended up cleaning all the upper panels too because of the difference with the lower ones that I had cleaned - sad I know, but I didn't want to leave it like that for the next guest. The views are very good and you'll probably catch some deer darting across the grass in front of the lodges if you look long enough. Finally, one surprise to us was how near these lodges were to the road to Rowardennan and how far from the 'waterfront' they are.......

Room Tip: If possible, choose the lodges on the edge of the grounds - others are positioned with the main road...

stayed in lodge for 3 nights nice lodge although defo not 5 stars as stated on booking shower trays very grimy all 3, steam room shower bit of a let down cheap experiance, light in kitchen hanging off dangerous with exposed wires walls stained badly in living room and kitchen area no tvs in bedrooms although there are aerial points there just no tvs??? tv in livingroom had 8 channels although understandable due to location.
hot tub was nice feature although couldnt use after dark as outside lights were not working!!!! quite scary out the back at night with no lights.
windows in bad need of a clean also .
beds were nice and comfy with heavy quilts on all. kitchen could have been better equipped if lodge sleeps 6 pots pans only enough for say 2??
lots of dogs roaming about not on leads was in hot tub and two different dogs came to visit me lot of poo on grass area due to this . itenary states vacum cleaner although all we had was small dustpan and brush the lodge is big so hoover is needed even a carpet sweeper would have done.
lovely scenery good trip although defo not 5 star 3+ star max we paid 400 for 3 nights and to be honest i expected to be wowed but wasnt few changes could bring this place up to 5 stars

Room Tip: single story lodges dont look anywhere near as good as two level ones

Snow everywhere and a great hot tub to lie in and watch the whole thing. Add that to the brilliant gastro pub down in Balmaha, with great beers and it's nigh on perfect.....

Really enjoyed staying here very relaxing and everyone is friendly. The hot tub was broken on the first night due to the electrician being unable to come out. However we were offered to use the local health spa for free which was a nice touch. Hot tub was fixed the next day as promised! Overall a fantastic place staff are great and the location simply stunning. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying hear for a great relaxing break! I will be back!

Nothing compares to the greatness of Loch Lomond for me so I am pretty biased! The Lochside location was very lovely and only a short walk takes you to the shore. Bedrooms were nicely finished and the lounge area had a great view. Kitchen equipment was a bit sparse but functional enough to muddle through. Bathrooms were great but as it was the end of the season when we arrived they needed a little maintenance work. Staff were helpful on arrival and with just a small dvd problem we had. The kids told me that the bed settee downstairs wasn't very comfortable - perhaps they are just spoiled!!
Great activities round and about for the family which was great - except we were so bust I never got to read a single page of my book!!
