I visited the newly renovated Tullie Inn and was most impressed with the quality and taste of the food as well as the impressive decor and ambience of this fine establishment. No mere pub grub here, the Gourmet burger was delicious and possibly one of the best burgers I've tasted.

The Gourmet Burger is presented very well on a wooden platter with a tin bucket of delicious home made fries. Two beer battered onion rings sit on top of the bun. The sour dough bun is perfect and a very pleasant change from inferior tasteless buns served at lower end venues. The toppings on the burger are cheddar cheese and bacon which complement the burger well, along with a pot of delicious slaw, and relish.

I still had a little room for dessert and I selected the cheesecake. This was a difficult choice as the other options were also tempting, fresh cream meringue, sticky toffee pudding, profiteroles.... The cheesecake was delicious and was served with a pot of berries to alow you to add to the berry topping. The consistency of this cheesecake was just right and had a creamy edge complemented by the delicious biscuit base. The tartness of the berries was devine. This is a dessert I will order again....and again!

Top marks also to the polite and friendly hard working staff who are a credit to this establishment. I have no hesitation recommending The Tullie Inn and very much look forward to trying more items on the excellent menu.

We recently were invited by close friends to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary and were suitably impressed with the new layout of the restaurant. The menu selection was very good and the quality of the food was excellent and the service superb. On the lunch menu was Whitebait but was not on the evening menu. However, a quick word with the waitress and she produce the goods. Well worth regular visits

Popped in tonight for our second meal after the refurbishment. We had wild boar pate and tempura chicken with a sweet chilli sauce. Both really good especially the latter, the chilli sauce was amazing. For mains we had chicken risotto and a half chicken with chips. Risotto was really nice and filling it had cherry tomatoes and chorizo making it superb. Home made chips were a total bonus. Will definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu. Served by the lovely Alex.

myself & 3 friends dined here 2 weeks ago on a thursday night. First time in since it's makeover & loved the new look.. However, we showed up at 7.10 for our table booked for 7.15, were told it would be ready in just a minute. waited at the bar for 15 minutes before we even got an order taken (there were no other customers at the bar, place wasn't even a quarter full) had to ask twice if our table was ready or if they had forgotten us, finally got seated at 7.40. gave our food order 5 minutes later, only to wait 45 minutes for two meals to arrive, then another 5 minutes for the other two. Strangely 2 of the meals were the same - yet arrived at different times. 3 seperate staff served us, all very friendly but slow. we were asked if we wanted more drinks & placed our order, took 20 minutes for them to arrive. Food it'self was nicely presented but nothing special. Wouldn't particularly make the effort to go back.

As this place isnt long opened from a major refurbishment I decided to go in , I was impressed with the openess feeling , nothing was cramped in and tables spaced out well enough to give you as much privacy as you need , the standard of cleanliness is right of the scale , members of staff cleaning everything as the day goes on and smiling as they do it , every member of staff were friendly and couldnt do enough for you , as this place is right on the main road that traffics loads of tourists this reflects on the high prices on the menu , but the food was perfect no complaints for the standard and presentation of the food , 100% enjoyable and well worth a visit
