We visited here on saturday 22nd June 2013 and despite the torrential downpours it is still a beautiful area to visit. We bought 2 adult tickets to go out on the loch and took our 2 dogs.
We did an hour's tour of the loch with commentary about the various buildings and history of the area. It does get awfully busy but it is a lovely place to visit. Be prepared for the weather and take water proofs with you - you might need them!
The staff are very helpful at getting you and off the boat and there are refreshments aboard the boat should you need them.
There are lots of walks along the river banks, boat hire, jet ski hire and visitors centres to visit with shops and art galleries along the way.
All in all a very nice area to visit should you get the chance.
