We stayed for one night in a very rainy day in June, despite that we really enjoyed the place, Becky and Graeme were very nice. The location was comfortable and the breakfast was good.
Unfortunately we didn't have an opportunity to see the town too much :)

Becky and Graeme were fantastic hosts! We were there for our anniversary, and they went out of their way to make us welcome. Newly - and very tastefully - furnished, comfy bed, delicious breakfast, free wi-fi, parking...my wife and I have only praise for Valhalla!

The location of being less than a block away from the main street through the city gave us the benefit of being within easy walking distance of just about everything in town, but without the noise of traffic on the main street.

We stayed here for 2 nights at the beginning of June & were thoroughly impressed. Room was very nice, clean & bright. Breakfasts were good & the location is very central (right by the train station). Not too much to do in Balloch & having travelled up the west coast to Skye etc we found Balloch (where was stayed on the way south) a little run-down/touristy. Had a day in Glasgow which was very easy to get to on the train, so good location from that point of view.

This b&b is immaculate. Its situation three minutes' walk from the loch is perfect, the rooms tastefully appointed and the food excellent, but what makes it a good cut above other places I've enjoyed is the owners. Becky and Graeme are so generous and considerate of their guests without imposing on them that they unintentionally become their own greatest asset. They and their b&b made a warm experience of a chilly Scottish winter.

Room Tip: Just tell Becky what you are looking for: she'll discuss anything by email. All the rooms are q...

My husband and I were driving through Balloch and I spotted the sign for this beautiful guest house.
What a lucky find it was, we asked if there were any rooms available and they kindly gave us a large, spotlessly clean, cosy and beautifully furnished family room which also had a door out onto a patio...this patio will be great in good weather, and as VALHALLA is a bungalow there were no stairs to climb, a boon for me!
Becky and Graeme are the friendliest of couples and made us so very welcome. Their attention to detail in the guest rooms is perfect, and they have very comfortable beds with lovely soft bed linen... and large soft bath towels in a sparkling bathroom.
It is a delightful breakfast room, and I don't think their breakfasts could be beaten for the quality of ingredients, Graeme made delicious porage from proper oatmeal as a starter, and the main course was well cooked, tasty and plentiful, with a wide range of choices.

I can fully agree with what previous 'reviewers' say, and add our name to the long list of their VERY satisfied guests.

We have put Valhalla at the top of our list of special places we want to return to again and again....for comfort and cleanliness the owners get FULL marks! I can't imagine anyone leaving the guest house dissatisfied.
I would well recommend a stay there.

Close to the bank of Loch Lomond excellent stay at Balloch. We got a nice rest after having travelled all the way from Finland. Pubs and restaurants just round the corner without disturbing the sleep. Cosy room, tasty breakfast and free parking. A great start for our holiday in Scotland.

I have stayed in the Valhalla B&B on a few occasions and every time the rooms and the service have been excellent, the breakfast very good and the welcome has been extremely friendly. Would recommend to anyone.
