Absolutely loved the Inn. Such a beautiful location and only 5/10 min drive away from Loch Lomond. On the banks of Loch Long the Inn is so inviting after a day exploring the area. I asked for the "Dinosaur Ribs", and, even though they were not on the menu that night, I was served the biggest, juiciest, ribs ever! Also, the breakfast selection was fresh and humongous.

Room Tip: Try and get a room with a view of Loch Long.

I didn't stay here, but I did eat here quite often during my week in Arrochar, and it's by far the best dining option in the area, with regard to both atmosphere and food. The restaurant is delightfully cozy -- the phrase 'rustic chic' comes to mind -- and the food is quite good. In particular, the gourmet beef burger is juicy and flavorful, and the homemade tablet cheesecake is light and fluffy. The servers are genuinely warm, though they can be a bit scattered and hard to flag down when the restaurant is busy (which is understandable), and it often is. Do book a table in advance: though they'll do their best to accommodate you should you show up without a reservation, it's better not to chance it as the other dining options in Arrochar (and there aren't many) just can't compare.

Stayed for one night and would have happily stayed longer. From minute we arrived we had friendly, professional service. Food was excellent and room was clean, cosy and warm (maybe bit too warm) and loch facing which was huge bonus. Will definately be visiting again.

Staying in Gourock for the week and decided to'go out for lunch', set off for Luss and decided to carry on to Arrochar- best decision we could have made, we had a lovely lunch at The Village Inn. The food, management and staff were excellent.
Well done.

Its been a long time since I have received the level of service and care from all staff that we did at The Villiage Inn. We got an excellent rate and the staff were very helpful in putting up a bigger z-bed in our room for my 3yr old. This came with a teddy bear and a packet of biscuits tucked under his arm. The bedroom was small but the personal touches, beds and bed linen and bathroom were all 5 star quality. The selection and quality of the food once again wonderful. We felt really looked after the whole time we were there and cant wait to go back and take more people with us.

We have stayed here before and had a lovely experience, this time we brought the kids, room was clean and tidy, but 4 was a squeeze, overall experience was disappointing considering we put nearly £700 into the Inn with room and food.
Breakfast seemed to be hit or miss, every second day was good, maybe different chef's.
On the second night, the fire Alarm sounded at 0115hrs, as we were staying at the back of the Inn with 3 other rooms I quickly got up to investigate, as I reached the bottom of the stairs the alarm silenced, Soon after it was going off again, we all got up and dress ( my wife, teenage daughter and 3 year old son) , and went to the assembly point in the car park, to our surprise, we were the only family their.
I went into the reception to be informed by a member of staff it was a false alarm, better to be safe than sorry, but would have been nice if someone made the effort to come round and tell us, knowing we had a young family. So back to the room we went, and that night the alarm sounded 2 more time, it was almost 0430hrs before we got settled back to sleep.
The next night we had another fire alarm sounded, this time I just went to reception, again to be told it was a false alarm, very hard to settle, as I was waiting on the dam fire alarm sounding all night, this was 2 nights of broken sleep. Slightly P*ssed off when we were away on a family break.
Hot Water now, we were in Room 8 at the back, and the water went from warm-ish to scalding hot, I burnt my hand trying to turn the tap off, when reported, it was just "oh sorry about that".
All of our unpleasant stay was explained to Tony on checking out, who really didn't seem to be bothered to listen as he walked off when I was explained our concerns, I had to wait on his return to finish explaining and his answer to all of this was, "Well i'm sorry we have lost your custom". Tony we are really sorry too as our stay could have been much better, and to be honest we don't normally complain, but with 2 nights lost sleep and a burnt hand, some form of compensation was expected. Please don't let this put you off staying, as this really did seem like 2 nights of unfortunate fire alarm madness.
