With a name like 🌞Smooth Rapids🌞, it leaves a lot of room for disappointment - but this Kayak/Campground/Restaurant did not! The launch location 🛶 is right behind their restaurant, where you can grab affordable lunch/dinner (yes, they have beer🍺🍺🍺)! The water was stunning, and 'smooth rapids' was the constant theme for 3.5 miles 💦 . We used their shuttle service, and got picked up at the VFW in McMinnville, TN (the outfitter gives you a 🔑 key and when you paddle to the VFW you give them a call and they come pick you up 🚎🚀).
Don't let this gem pass you by! Take your crew to the best spot, in Tennessee on the Barren Fork River 🛶😍🏕.

We have kayaked here several times. We decided to tent camp and kayak Oct 16. The river was very visible from our site. The site was clean, quiet and the port o potty was very clean and kept stocked with tp. There are very nice campers set up for those who like to glamp. Those are rented through Airbnb. It was a quaint, more intimate camping spot so the noise level was perfect. We ate dinner at their restaurant one night and the food was very good, the staff was friendly and the whole set up is just convenient. They definitely have a great gig going on and we are so glad we found them. The river was a little low so our kayak ride was not as smooth. This normally would not have mattered but it was only 62 degrees and I DID NOT WANT to tip. Over all, we had an awesome weekend and will definitely return.
