“Hollybank lodge.”
Reviewed February 12, 2014 via mobile

Me and my wife have just returned from hollybank lodge after a short break to celebrate our wedding anniversary and I have to totally agree with all previous reviews if you want to go some where that will leave you really relaxed and chilled out this is it.

You will be met by Graham the owner or one of his colleagues who will show you around the lodge and explain how every thing works.
G
Then all you have to do is sit down with a nice glass wine and enjoy the view or watch a film on the huge tv which has the full sky tv package on it
And enjoy.

We cannot wait to return in the future.

We seriously considered not adding this review in order to keep this place our little secret but that would be so wrong.
We’d booked a February weekend at Pier Cottage. You know that feeling of trepidation when you first enter your a rental and aren’t sure how close it will be to the online spec, photos etc? Well there’s no need for that here; the spec is high, surely recently decorated and seriously, every eventually was covered from air con to BBQs to games to egg cups, nice wine glasses etc etc.

Décor is lovely, furniture is just the job, huge leather sofas looking out of a huge window out onto the loch, like a moving picture, no need for TV though there is a huge one with all the Sky channels you’d expect.
Modern kitchen fully equipped as you’d expect, nice crockery etc.
Bedroom is spacious and the bathroom really good fittings and the shower was fab!

The perfect place to hole yourself up for the weekend and just chill out. Easy to drive into Balloch for pubs, places to eat. Access to so much else all around you too although for us this visit was purely to relax but next time….

We will definitely be going back, availability permitting.

I couldn’t end this review without mentioning Liz and Wendy in particular who couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly; whether just confirming things to me or being so quick to respond to a text when I forgot the name of the fish shop they’d recommended, how to work the heating etc.

Top place, top people!

I wanna live there!!!!!!!!!!

Myself and my new wife spent a few days at hollybank lodge for our honeymoon and words can't describe how happy we were with the lodge.
On arrival we were greeted by Graham the owner and shown around the lodge and on first impressions we were blown away with how stunning the lodge was and how breathtaking the view was of the loch.
Loch Lomond means a lot to us as we got married at the loch and we bring our kids to the loch many times a year and when choosing a place to honeymoon we could not think of any other place than Loch Lomond, after trawling through many web sites and viewing many lodges the hollybank lodge stood out from the rest and the main selling point was the jacuzzi bath in the living room which was great for relaxing in while watching a film and taking in the wonderful view.
The lodge is very spacious and due to it being fenced off it is very private and a great get away for anyone.
The lodge has just been completed and has been finished off to the highest standard and Graham and his team have done a great job with the lodge.
We enjoyed our time so much and we can't wait to go back.

Trying to describe the Auchenheglish Lodges in the best way to do them justice is actually quite hard. Myself and my husband have been a visitor to the Lodges a few times now. Each time we have been to the Lodges I have been so sad to leave as it is such a wonderful place to go and unwind for a few days away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We’ve spent time in Creinch, No3 Lomond Castle, the Jetty and most recently in Hollybank Lodge. All the Lodges are exemplary and the views from each of the Lodges are out of this world. All the Lodges, in my opinion, have the WOW factor and have all the facilities you would need to allow you to have a relaxing break without worrying about anything.

The most recent addition, Hollybank Lodge, has to be my favourite. I enjoyed Hollybank so much that I’ve got visions of having this for a retirement home!! Hollybank is very spacious, and finished to a very high standard. The Lodge has a Jacuzzi bath tub at the back of the living area and is great to relax in and enjoy the views. The bedroom has a separate walk in wardrobe area which is tucked away neatly at the back of the room. There are plenty of small touches that make the place great, there are electronic blinds at the front of the lodge and in the bedroom, the lighting has been well thought out and adds to the beauty of Hollybank Lodge.

I cannot recommend the Auchenheglish Lodges highly enough (particularly Hollybank Lodge...amazing lodge!!), if you are looking to book around the Loch Lomond area then I would definitely forego the hotels and go straight to the Lodges. OK, so you might need to fend for yourself regarding food, etc. but it is more than worth it. Having stayed in the Lodges now I would never consider booking anywhere else for a stay in the area. I could go on for some time raving about how great the Lodges are but instead I will only repeat what I have already said that if you are looking to book around the Loch Lomond area then this is definitely the place to book. I can honestly say you won’t be disappointed but instead you will be blown away!

This will be our third stay here. We stayed in a lodge at the other side of the estate last year but prefer this side. Our booking was originally made for Cundy Lodge but apparently it has been sold and the new owners don't want yo rent it out. We were therefore moved to Heron which is nice if a little old fashioned in comparison. Having said that we had a wonderful stay despite stormy weather and will almost certainly be back!

I stayed here from Friday 17/01/2014 till Sunday 19/10/2014, the lodge is just recently complete and is truely stunning. The owner Graham met me on arrival and showed around the property. The property has security gates that can only be operated by whoever stays in the lodge. The lodge has a jacuzzi bath at the rear of the living room and is great to relax in and enjoy the views. It is very spacious in the lodge and everything is finished to a very high standard. The bedroom has a seperate dressing area and a kingsize bed. There is also decking which is great for relaxing and enjoying something to eat. There are plenty of great touches that Graham has put in the lodge like electronic blinds at the front of the lodge and in the bedroom. The lodge is approx 2 miles from Tarbet. Graham has done a fantastic job at this lodge and I can't recommend this place highly enough.

We staying in the "The Heron* and cant recommend it highly enough. We have staying in hotels, B &B's and Lodges around Loch Lomond on several occasions however this is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in. The view is absolutely stunning, the cottage is literally on the waters edge with it's own private beach. It's romantic, private but only a short drive away from everything you need, shopping in Glasgow is a 20 mins drive, there are lots of places to eat on the door step ( we had a lovely chinese at the Princess Rose in Balloch) but if you want to be a recluse for a week you have everything you need in the cottage. Everything is high spec from the flat screen TV ( with full sky package) to the mezzanine bedroom. The place was spotless on arrival and the welcome pack was a nice wee surprise. Book now, you'll not be disappointed !!
