Bad Weather meant I spent an unexpected 24 hours on Bute and most of the time we were in the Hotel. The staff and Management could not do enough for us and the food it top class but reasonable price.

The Ploughmans has had mention before and for good reason! A great experience on one I will certainly repeat in the future.

I came here for a pub lunch on the recommendation of the owners of the B&B I stayed at. It was a very worthwhile recommendation so I wanted to pass it on.

I had a burger which was superb, cooked as I asked for, enormous and served with fabulous chips, in ciabatta, with home made coleslaw and smothered in melted cheese. It was really wonderful, the location is great and making the time to come here will be well rewarded!

Great staff, great location, great food. Keep it up guys!!

We have had 2 meals in the last few weeks in the hotel. The food is fantastic and is reasonably priced. The staff could not be more helpful even down to blowing up our 50th balloons for us! It has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and they even ran us home at the end of the night to save us getting a taxis. It is a wonderful place to visit.

Ok, firstly, this was the sunniest day of the year so almost anywhere with an outdoor space is scoring high. The kingarth excelled and despite being very busy they looked after our group of 4 adults and 4 kids like we were the only ones there. A superb outside area perfect for kids to run around and a lovely bowling green out further to just grab se quiet time. We all had the burgers- 2 blue cheese and 2 ementhal and they were delicious. Chips were crispy and fluffy inside. Kids all at macaroni from their menu- happy days. Good value, great service, a lovely day out on bute.

On 6th April 2014 Myself, my Wife and two friends had lunch at the Kingarth Hotel. Despite not having booked a table, the friendly staff soon found a table for us and throughout the visit could not be more helpful. The service was quick and polite, the food was great and would recommend the Hotel to anyone in that area looking for a place to eat.

Visited with a young child and got a table on a busy Sunday evening. Food was good (both had burgers) and big portions. The strawberry sundae was a great pud too! Child food was fine as well.

Pool table made for great entertainment, as well as the bunnies outside.

The bad reviews are to be ignored, we think.
