Excellent food that is both tasty and hearty portions. Love the specials and found it great value. Been before and will definitely be back.

“Excellent pub food”
Reviewed May 2, 2014

We visited on 2 occasions. On the first, it was very busy but they managed to find us a table. We booked for the following evening! The staff were very friendly although the service was a little slow. The food, when it arrived, was excellent. I'd go back for the apple crumble alone!

“Hearty Meal”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

Having previously stopped for a quick bite on a couple of occassions we thought we would try out some of the specials. I had the scallops to start and the steak and ale pie. My vegetarian partner had the goats cheese and onion chutney to start and the beer battered cod. The food clearly used high quality ingredients, was perfectly cooked and presented beautifully. The portion sizes were certainly hearty too. The Kingarth itself is a lovely place to rest your weary legs and the staff and regulars are very welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend.
