The 'building stands on the quay beside the ferry waiting area and has a 'Ladies' that is spotless and modern however the 'Gentlemen' is the highest expression of Victorian splendour and expertise. Everything is perfectly preserved and seems to have inspired one of the 'Harry Potter' films - 'Chamber of Secrets'. Only 40p for a view and even the most sceptical will be converted.

Whllst waiting for the ferry, the kids (ages 9 and 4) decided they needed the loo. I took them in what was advertised as toilets....theyre more than that. On this occasion it was bad for us.
its 40p to use the facilities and free for kids.
in this instance the kids were desperate but we didnt have any money on us only card. I was not allowed into the toilets as i could pay the 40p charge so i have to rely on my eldest helping my youngest. The lady manning the reception desk said if i went into help the kids she would have to pay it herself so didnt let me in.
The mens toilets are stunning (from what i saw through the crack in the door) the womens are more basic i think. i wouldnt know because i didnt have any money and had to wait till be got on the ferry

Modest Bute was important in the 19th and early 20th centuries as a destination. Glaswegiand sought relief from the city's heat and stench by coming here to enjoy "bathing." These toilets are a remnant of that and as such they are important to see--and use.

Needed a P and went to the Victorian Toilet.
Thought 40p to have a P was a bit steep but once I went in I could not believe what I saw.
This Victorian Toilet block should be preserved forever.
It is worth double the price to make sure that it is maintained forever.

The woman on the entrance kindly let my friend and I have a look after making sure we would not surprise any men. Well the men's toilets are beautiful. Very ornate The women's toilets are very ordinary
