“Great Public Toilets.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 2, 2011

If you are in the area and don't even want a comfort break, It's worth just going in to pay a visit. A lot of work has been put in to restore these toilets and they are certainly clean and tidy and worth the small entrance fee.

“Only An Attraction If You're Male!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 20, 2011

I am quite the fan of Victoriana so I was quite excited to see the fabled Victorian toilets in Rothesay. In fact, it was pretty much number one on my list of things to see (admittedly, it was a short list).

However, it's only the MALE toilets which are Victorian! Not the female ones. The female toilets are very "council swimming pool in the 80s" in design. They weren't even that clean. And not having the necessary bits down below, I couldn't very well waltz into the men's room with my camera...

There is an information leaflet available to tell you about the Victorian toilets at the tiny kiosk at the entrance. However, they had no English language ones left, only German or French. Still, at least I passed a frustrating half hour trying to remember enough school girl French to translate it.

So - unless you're a man - don't bother.
