Basically at the moment it is a B&B as that is all they are providing. On arrival two messages on the door ring the bell or the other notice states ring a mobile. Once answered we were let in by a man who was lacking hospality skills.

The garden room was at the back, the room was a bit tight, smaller furniture would help. Nice bed linen and towels. The bathroom needs cleaning better, dirty fan, dirty grout, broken lamp shape and the towel rail coming off the wall.

Lovely breakfast, good coffee and orange juice. Well cooked breakfast.

Great postion for town centre and ferry

Room tip: Garden rooms quiet

I stayed at this hotel for two nights of 3. It was a very dirty dust everywhere in the room and when water was used in the hotel I had to put up with a banging noise. I have to say, paying £220 for 3 nights I hoped for better. I would not stay here again

We were staying for a family wedding on the island. We changed rooms for a view of the sea at the front , which was a good move.
A really good breakfast provided by friendly staff.
It's very near the ferry and parking is easy on the road outside.
Overall, for the price we paid, it was a good visit.
It looks like the rooms are slowly being redecorated - good move.

Stayed here in the family room back in June. What a lovely hotel, the room was very big with comfy beds. The staff couldn't of done anymore for us very helpful. Had a lovely garden out the back and lovely wee seats out the front looking into the sea. Breakfast was 10/10. Would recommend anyone staying at this hotel.

Spent a night here with friends.Old building looked a bit jaded and the climb to our room was steep. The bar area looked to have no stock and it doubled as the dining room for breakfast.Room was large, mixed array of furniture, comfortable sofa with views over Rothesay Bay.Very quiet hotel, not a bad thing, but very few staff about. They were friendly and we had everything we needed.Breakfast was well cooked and we all enjoyed our stay.

Room tip: Ask for room 4,but be ready for the climb.
