We've just had two nights in Heatherbank and were very happy with all aspects of our stay. John and Pippa are very welcoming and good fun. The room (with the four poster) was spacious and nicely decorated, the bed was very comfortable and the shower room was excellent. There were all kinds of thoughtful touches, like an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe, home-made cake each day as we returned, with a flask of fresh milk, good toiletries including conditioner, and a chocolate on the pillow. The views over the mountains are superb. There is a wide choice of breakfast, all beautifully cooked, but what I liked best was the choice of fresh fruit and yogurt. We are now trying to work out when we can go back again!

We were taking my Mum on a memory trail and it was very last minute planning. Found Heatherbank = AND WE ARE VERY HAPPY WE DID!!. From the initial booking and travel advice - to the contact throughout, the welcome, the accommodations (which are 5 star) and the best breakfasts ever....(now these are fantastic - more choice than any Hotel AND better cooked!)
ALL the extras are here as stated, but its the wee thoughtful additions which, in my experience, changes an ordinary experience to the extra-ordinary.
We re-visited, Ardnamurchan Lighthouse, Sanna Bay, Mull, Iona, Tobermory, and travelled the bridge to Skye, and all points in between - My Mum and us agree that the Heatherbank, which was our base for the trip - was the strawberries and cream topping on a perfect trip. They even arranged (mostly) perfect weather.
I cannot thank them enough and have no hesitation in recommending them to you.......

Room Tip: all rooms are excellent - some wee bit bigger, but all with plenty space, en-suite and spotless, wit...

This is a wonderful guesthouse which we had the pleasure of staying in on our tour of the area in Scotland. The facilities were very good and clean and we were made very welcome. The breakfast was exceptionally good and well presented. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: All rooms are good and very quiet.

I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a small group. The rooms were very well furnished and very comfortable and the owners went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed, including home-made cake alongside the tea and coffee making stuff.
The breakfasts were superb and almost more than we could eat!!! We also had packed lunches which were more than sufficient for anyone.
The only down side was that there was nowhere to sit and relax as a group, as the dining room is out of bounds other than at breakfast time and there is no guest lounge.

Room Tip: All rooms are good - there's also a four poster bed in one room. All rooms are en-suite except o...

Had a lovely stay here in May 2012. Booked late and many of the other B and B's locally were full, so was not surprised to find this one a bit more expensive. However after our stay I can honestly say that I think it was worth the extra money - a standard of care that you would not normally get in a B and B, and very clean purpose built accommodation. We also appreciated the DVD collection at the top of the stairs!

We stayed here two years ago and were delighted with every aspect of our stay.
Last month we came back - entirely by chance thanks to an unexpected delay on our tour of the Highlands - and things were even better. And, I promise you, that is saying something as the first stay was superb.
Pippa & John obviously remembered us and were as welcoming and professional as ever. Everything that you could possibly want at a B & B was there and was of the highest quality. Clearly no expense has been spared in making Heatherbank worthy of it's four star rating.
We try to tour Scotland every year; if we are back in 2013 we will manage to get back here somehow.

Room Tip: Not a tip to get a good room but a way to save money. If you book via the Scottish Tourist Office...

....along the single track road, up the lane then quietly through the grazing deer and up the short track to the house on the hill and to peace, quiet and great views and air. A friendly welcome in a professionally run b&b with good VFM. Pippa & John clearly love the outdoor life and adjust easily to the particular needs of each individual guest. Thanks for the fresh milk, cake, biscuits & wifi, loan of the saw, and access to the fascinating walking & nature library. If out early or late you can take a short run down to the wildlife hide by the loch and watch the otters. Thank you
