....along the single track road, up the lane then quietly through the grazing deer and up the short track to the house on the hill and to peace, quiet and great views and air. A friendly welcome in a professionally run b&b with good VFM. Pippa & John clearly love the outdoor life and adjust easily to the particular needs of each individual guest. Thanks for the fresh milk, cake, biscuits & wifi, loan of the saw, and access to the fascinating walking & nature library. If out early or late you can take a short run down to the wildlife hide by the loch and watch the otters. Thank you

Heatherbank has got it all. Great hosts, delicious breakfasts with home made jams and marmalade, amazing scenery, wildlife galore. The attention to detail that Pippa and John show with home made cakes, fresh milk, sweets on the pillow all go to make this the very best of experiences. They are brilliant. Each night on the way back from our dinner we encountered either red deer or pine marten sometimes both. Strontian is stunning. We saw otters and seals on Loch Sunart and on the ride back from Kilchoan ferry we lost count of the red deer on the mountains. This could be my favourite place in the world to be.

Room Tip: All rooms were delightful with wonderful views whichever side you are.

We loved staying with Pippa and John who worked very hard to make everything perfect. Within minutes of arriving Pippa presented us with delicious homemade cakes and fresh milk for our tea tray. The house is in a beautiful setting with excellent views, especially from the breakfast room. Outside the window we could watch finches feeding on the bird tables and see the mist rolling along the valley.
Breakfast choice was very good and included kedgeree and pancakes as well as the more trad dishes. John has good local knowledge for walkers. There is a good eating place in walking distance. Plenty of parking in the grounds of the house......

I stayed at Heatherbank in September 2010 while on a walking holiday with friends.
Pippa and John were perfect hosts, welcoming and helpful, the rooms were spotless pleasant and comfortable and the breakfasts as good as I have eaten anywhere.
Ardnamurchan is low on visitors and high on tranquillity compared to the Glencoe and Ben Nevis hotspots, if you want to get off the beaten track you can walk for miles without seeing a soul and the scenery, especially on the coast, is stunning.
I went back with family in May this year for one night while on a touring holiday. They were equally impressed and already we are making plans to return but this time for a longer stay.

The guesthouse is located in a beautiful house few miles out of the village, on top of an hill with an amazing view. The welcoming we received from owners was very warm and friendly. Room was very comfortable and clean. Our breakfast has been offered with a quite wide choice of menu, in a very nice location, looking at the amazing views on the hills around and surrounded by a huge variety of birds having their food in small nets located in the garden for this purpose.

Immaculate b&b, friendly and welcoming, peaceful locaion. Wide choice range for breakfast . Home baking and fresh milk in rooms an added bonus. Eco friendly environment. Advise booking ahead for evening meal in local restaurants to avoid disappointment.
