“Excellent B&B - everything thought of”
Reviewed November 11, 2013

This was a great one-night stay on our walk of the West Highland Way and Great Glen Way in July 2013. Extremely comfortable beds, good bathrooms and fine breakfast. We were only sorry that we arrived later than planned so didn't have time to enjoy the lovely guest lounge. Jacqui kindly booked us a table at a restaurant in the village and because we were late, she drove us down in the car. The walk down to Kinlochleven after Glencoe and the Devil's Staircase had exhausted us and this accommodation was so comfortable and just what we needed. We would definitely stay here again.

Tigh na Cheo is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, has very well appointed rooms and is impeccably clean. Martin and Jacqui are wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Everything is available from tea and coffee facilities, radox baths, drying rooms, good value laundry service, hearty breakfast, packed lunch on request, maps and guidebooks and the local knowledge of the hosts. Kinlochleven is a great base from which to explore the western highlands whether you are in for big challenging walks or more sedate sightseeing. Two good pubs with good food and a supermarket are within walking distance.

We booked four nights with our hosts in Kinlochleven, and a more welcoming homely environment would have been harder to find. We were made to feel the place was our own. Both Martin and Jacqui were courteous and helpful to the extreme, providing lively conversation and extensive knowledge about the locality. The views and the walking - our primary reason for the visit - were outstanding. We enjoyed a hearty breakfast each day and were particularly taken by the locally produced black pudding. However, vegetarians were also well catered for as one of our fellow guests, a vegetarian himself, espoused. It is true what others on this site have said........the bedroom was lovely and the little extra touches in the bathroom helped to make the stay perfect. Good luck to both Martin and Jacqui in the 'close' season. They have clearly deserved it after all their hard work for their guests put in during the long Summer season, and yes, we hope to return next year!

Room Tip: If all rooms were like ours, you'll be delighted.

This place was immaculate, couldn't have asked for more. The little touches like the luxury soaps and the national flags on your breakfast table made all the difference. Had a lovely chat with Jacqui at breakfast and she was so helpful. Great value for mon

We stayed one night at the Tigh Na Cheo. It was comfortable, very clean, and Martin and Jaqui were fantastic hosts - friendly and personable. The breakfast was very nicely cooked and we very much enjoyed the packed lunch that we ordered for our walk to Fort William. We would definitely stay there again. I've stayed in so many hotels and bnbs where I've felt as it the owners were trying to get away with putting in the minimum effort but I felt here as if a lot of effort had been made to make sure that things were perfect for guests.

We stayed there one night while walking the West Highland Way, and didn't want to leave the following morning.
It was the most comfortable, hospitable and clean B&B we stayed at. The hosts we're extremely friendly, the room was a lovely suite viewing the garden and the birds.
Breakfast was the best we had in Scotland.

Totally recommended.

Just returned from a lovely 3 night break in the Highlands. The accomodation, service and location of the b&b was perfect. Hosts Jacqui and Martin couldn't have been any more friendly, helpful and courteous. Bedrooms immaculate, breakfast generous and freshly cooked. Martin went out of his way to help us get our train connection in Glasgow when a fatal accident closed the pass through Glencoe.Would definitely stay again.
