Ditto all the comments about the quality of the accommodation at this great B&B which was perfect after a strenuous day's trekking across Rannoch Moor. But mention must also be made of the fabulous food, prepared by Pauline and served by Wullie. We'd pre-ordered a 3-course evening meal and can honestly say it was our best meal during 6 days spent on the WHW.

The Lasagna was immediately pronounced excellent and the Cranachan a real taste of Scotland. The spread at breakfast had something to please everyone from poached eggs and kippers to porridge, plus much more on offer besides. We just couldn't resist squeezing in a few Danish Pastries before setting off on the final leg. Needless to say the packed lunch provided was also the best of the bunch by far - smoked salmon sandwiches and chocolate muffins inc. Five stars all the way.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back have river views

Hi, Thank you very much for your comments. We are very glad that you enjoyed our home and the meals you had with us. We don't do fancy but what we do make is all home cooked and filling, so we are very pleased that you enjoyed it so much. I hope you found a nice spot to sit and enjoy your lunch with wonderful view. Small B&B with only four rooms. A former shop in the main street is recently renovated and turned into a B&B and it is very well done with eyes for the details. The iPhone charger was very welcome! Needless to say it was very clean and tidy too. The host is genuine friendly and gladly helps you with information if needed. Breakfast was amazing with a wide variety of fresh fruit and berries. The cheese assortment was even great. We were staying here for one night while walking the West Highland Way.
Sadly the sleepy village of Kinlochleven offers little beside the large climbing hall and of course the beautiful scenery otherwise we had definitely returned for a longer stay.

Maybe this is one of its kind..it should definitely get more than 5 stars..best value for money for anywhere i have stayed in UK...

luxury rooms with an ipod dock, chocolates, comfortable pillows, soft mattress, luxury toiletries, beautiful bathroom and mountain view...it was just fabulous!!..can go on for another house..my husband just wanted to stay there for 1 more day..and on top of all this willie and pauline are amazing hosts!!..morning breakfast was also yummy....

recommended for all to understand what a 5+ star B&B is all about...we had a bit of both in this trip..a 5+ star accomodation and a -1 star accomodation also in portree (viewfield house - avoid!!)

Luxurious rooms, a whole set of hair and body care products in the bathroom, varied choice of biscuits at the hospitality tray, terrific breakfast - all in all, this is definitely best B&B we've ever met (and we've met plenty:) ). Would love to stay for more than just one night.

Room Tip: Don't miss their dinner - fantastic home-made cooking and even a shot of whisky to finish it :)

We stayed here whilst walking part of the West Highland Way. The rooms here are excellent as is the service and the food. (We had an evening meal and a superb breakfast the following day plus the packed lunch) We really couldn't have asked for anything more.

When I booked this B&B I did so based on the reviews and photos, we were not at all disappointed! The owners, Pauline and Willie Byers, are fantastic hosts who make you feel 100% welcome in their home. The property has been completed gutted and refurbished. Everything is updated and beautifully decorated. The beds are as comfortable as they look in the photos. Of all the places we stayed during our 10 day visit to the Highlands, this was by far the best! Not only is the place beautiful, clean, and comfortable, the food is amazing as well! Pauline is a great cook and Willie does a great job of attending to everyone. You can have a fantastic made-to-order breakfast, or opt for the continental breakfast...both surpass expectation. We also ordered packed lunches each day that were so big, we opted to share a lunch between two of us after the first day. The price is amazing too! You will not be disappointed at Allt-Na-Leven; you will get your money's worth and more! My husband and I definitely plan a return visit.

I doubt there is anything that could match the hospitality and comfort of this Guest House. We were a party of 8 who arrived dripping wet after walking in torrential rain. Even though the place is immaculate we were invited in, boots and all, with open arms. All our wet gear was taken and either tumble dried or hung in a room with a dehumidifier to dry off. Resulting in lovely dry boots and jackets ready for our walk the next day.

Wullie and Pauline could not do enough for us and made us feel a part of the family. The rooms have everything you could think of and are kitted out to an extremely high standard. Comfortable beds and lovely views.

The food was also very good. We pre booked dinner and were served with delicious home cooked food, enormous portions and very tasty too. Wullie took time to out to chat with us and shared his knowledge of whisky making. He then proceeded to offer us a complimentary dram which went down very nicely.

I would rate this establishment higher if I could. Top marks all round.
