“An experience”
Reviewed February 4, 2013

This is an experience not to be missed especially if the tides are rising.
The crossing is worth the money for the scenery alone.

“Pricey but very convenient”
Reviewed October 19, 2012

By far the qickest way to get to Jura if you can do without your car on the island, which is easy enough if you hire bikes

“Direct route to Craighouse from the mainland”
Reviewed October 1, 2012

This is a great service. It runs April-September and is due to run again in 2013. You need to connect from Tayvallich on the mainland. Price is £20. Journey time about 45 minutes. Great view of the Paps of Jura, as you disembark straight into Craighouse, the main island town. You need to pre-book, don't just turn up, you may not get on.

“Convenient and enjoyable”
Reviewed August 20, 2012

This is a quick (just under 1 hour) and convenient way to travel to Jura from Tayvallich, and there is a car park so you can leave your car in Tayvallich. It is £20 per person each way. We had a smooth crossing both ways and the views were great, not sure I'd enjoy it so much in rough weather though!

“day trip”
Reviewed August 1, 2012

at last - a day trip to Jura from the main land is possible. It was full both ways, so booking is well advised. It is expensive £120 for the round trip for three of us, but a day on Jura is priceless and given the fact that it was full - the market can obviously sustain the price. Tayvallich is quite a long way from Lochgilphead so make sure you leave enough time to get there, but I will certainly use the service again
