We were attending a wedding close by and chose this hotel due to the location. What a jem of a place. The hotel owner and staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. We arrived early and even though it was before the regular check-in time it was no real trouble to get us to our room. We stayed in The Yew Room and it was absolutely lovely! The en-suite was very clean and well presented and the bed was extremely comfortable. We only had a very short, one night stay but would highly recommend this hidden jewel! If there was any downside (and it's only a tiny one) it would be that there is no cooked breakfast, although the continental breakfast was exceptional we do like our bacon and eggs in the morning when staying away, but as I said, this is personal choice and does not detract from such a lovely hotel.
