stayed 2 nights over a weekend ,my honest opinion follows.
First the good bits ,hotel staff were all friendly and excellent throughout the hotel.
Hotel itself was clean and tidy in all public areas.
The bad bits, the room we were in was 7 it was a big room and comfy enough, the carpet was a real mess it had burns in it it was stained in when walking barefooted it just felt nasty.
The biggest complaint though was that rooms 1 to 12 are straight above the public bar and the noise is just horrendous loud music shouting just typical bar noise,it did stop at midnight ,but then an even louder noise Starts what sounds like a washing machine with a jet engine (no joke) batters on for an other hour.
We had breakfast both mornings cooked breakfast was fine ,let down by the tea and coffee which is sitting in two supposedly thermos pots but were always at best just hot enough to drink.
All in all this hotel could be a real gem ,just let down by obvious penny pinching regime ,simple things like morning tea and coffee would be so easy to put right, new carpets would help the rooms so much, and stay in a room on upper floor away from the bar.More
