Quite small farm area but lots of other things to keep kids entertained and an interesting museum at the start of the farm

Went here for a young lady 8th birthday.
What a great place to go lots and lots to do easy spent 4 hrs here.
The only let down I found was the train and tractor fee.
After paying for a family of 8 then to pay another 16 pound for a ride on a train and a ride on the tractor to which is unavoidable with children is a little unfair.
But overall a great day out
Great place for little ones. Lots to do and see. Used Tesco clubcard vouchers so it becomes a very cheap day out. My three year old loved it so I think we will be back a lot
I visited with my two children 4 and 2. There is loads for the kids to do. They can see all the different animals, take part in the organised activities. Have a go on the tractor ride (for an additional 50p per person.) Indoor softplay (£1.00 per child for 30 mins) a bounce around on one of the trampolines, a play in the play parks and not to forget a look around the museum part too. All in all a fab day out.
This has been our 4th visit here in the last year so considering we live 50 miles away, speaks for itself how much we enjoy it. The centre is always well kept, animals are well cared for and with handling and feeding sessions, animal lovers like ourselves are in our element ( not just the children! ). If the centre was closer to home, we would definitely visit more regularly. The staff are so friendly, very informative and obviously enjoy their work. And, finally, the cafeteria...yum! Clean, good variety, moreish cakes, wonderful staff and the homemade soup is worth a visit in itself, one bowl is never enough!! Almond Valley is very reasonably priced, ticks all the boxes, a favourite of ours.
