I've just returned from a 4 night stay at Balmeanach House. The house is off the main road, in very quiet surroundings, with views from the bedrooms out over the lovely little garden to Loch Bracadale and towards the Outer Hebrides (which can be glimpsed on a clear day). Arlene is a great host, looking after her guests very well indeed. Breakfast is clearly the main meal of the day - eat well and there's no need for lunch! I didn't try the porridge or salmon, but did have the Scottish breakfast and the kippers. Would recommend either (or both). I'll stay here again next time I visit Skye.
