Possibly the worst night off my life. I booked through lastminute.com. who have a call centre in some far flung foreign land. I arrived in Skye looking for directions to this B&B. The tourist information shut their door at 5.30 prompt leaving the majority of people who would be arriving at that time high and dry. I then went through 3 hours of fruitless searching and four trips past the B&B. A total of 40 miles clocked up trying to find this miserable dump. There is no phone number anywhere for this place. I was so late the woman from the Caladh B&B had rung my parents in Edinburgh to see where I was. She left no number or directions increasing my misery yet further. I eventually knocked on a door at random to find I was actually in the Caladh B&B. It is situated off the main road with no sign post. The sign on the gate is unreadable. The office stank of old dog and the walls were dirty. I asked the women why they featured the riding centre in the description as it was nothing to do with that place. I had visited both riding centres in my search for the B&B and they thought I had gone mad ! I then asked about the Spa and massage. There is no such thing and they really should be taken to task for this. There is no 24 hour desk service. I asked for a knock on the door at 8.00 am , no chance. One television in the whole place is not an amenity. The breakfast was feeble and served by a lady with very little English. I only went there because I had already paid and it was not refundable. I left without speaking to anyone else. Another party was there and could not find it with a satnav. There was no mobile signal either. It was an old folks home and still had that bleak hopeless feel to it with all the tiny rooms on a long corridor. No wonder they closed it down! Do not go to this B&B in any circumstances ! You have been warned !
