Stopped here for a light lunch and had some wonderful sandwiches, freshly prepared, and fresh shortbread that was still warm. Slightly on the pricey side but worth it.

Pitched as high quality / fine dining - felt like a limited menu and portions (veg) in the "bar" menu were very measly and the fish pie was lacking taste. Could do better I think. Very limited wine and bar menu as well (except whiskey) - Staff lovely though!

The Chart Room is the 'bar' area of Duisdale House and serves a fine menu of locally sourced food. Granny and I had the lamb - it was delicious - my friend had the Pork Belly, which looked and smelled, and, according to her, was equally tasty. The service was very good. I would have like more green veg but this now seems out of fashion. The food was not overwhelmed with sauces.
Highly recommended. I prefer it to the restaurant as I could never eat 4 courses comfortably.
I rounded mine off with Isle of Skye ice cream - dreamy; Granny had the sticky toffee pudding.

'Fine' dining menu is a well presented, 6 course meal that is short on taste. The real problem is the service, which is patch and slow.
