We stopped here one day to treat ourselves to some cakes knowing that they were expensive. We paid £4.99 for each cake & were disappointed. Firstly, I would at least expect a cake box & not just a paper bag when paying this much for cakes. The cakes were better than supermarket but not as good as I can make at home & really nothing special. We could not help but notice that there were very few customers when we drove past.

Stopped off here to purchase some cakes on the way to our holiday cottage. The shop has a lovely feel to it, a proper community bakery. The cakes are expensive- they're organic and handmade but if you're on holiday and want to treat yourself then why not! They are well worth it and the presentation of the fresh meringue was excellent. If you want cheap mass produced cake with your coffee then go to the high street!

On first appearance this place looks great, on stepping inside you'll realise that it's really very expensive. We hoped for good things for a toastie for a touch under a fiver, unfortunately it was nothing special at all. just a standard toastie that you or I could have made at home. And just the toastie on it's own, no salad, nothing. Dissapointing, really. And what really put the tin hat on it was the way of 'hiding the prices, such as a long list of soups that turned out to be 'from £4', rather than just £4 as it seemed on first appearance. And also brown bread an extra 50p hidden conveniently in the corner of the menu...we're not living in the 60s any more, are we? Brown bread isn't anything special these days...

we were treated to Jann's Cakes on our arrival to our holiday cottage as part of our welcome hamper along with some bread. We also visited her honesty box which was at the end of our road where we purcgased further goodies. Unfortunatly we missed the shop as we left early on our last day and it doesn'topen till 10.00. our loss well worth a try though
