We did not stay in the hotel, but stopped for an early supper in the Gabbro bar, adjacent to the Broadford Hotel, just looking for some good pub food. It's a very casual place, somewhat dark inside, with a TV (tuned to sports, of course), a pool table, and a scattering of tables, nothing too special in the decor. You place your order at the bar. (On the way to the bathroom, I noticed more than one official posting cautioning bar-goers about responsible drinking, which makes me think this can be quite the party place sometimes, but it was quiet when we were there.)
I ordered the crab cakes, which came with a lovely fresh salad of mixed greens and fresh fruits like blackberries, and a nice dressing (dressings for salads seem to be generally uncommon). I quite enjoyed the salad, but was surprised and disappointed by the crab cakes, which would have been better named "potato cakes," as the crab was almost nonexistent. I was later told by our B&B hosts that it is a common island practice to "be stingy" (her words) with the crab in crab cakes, but this case was more than stingy, in my opinion. I even dug through the cakes, looking for any signs of crab, but found none. My spouse was not happy with his soup, either, which he thought was too sweet (some kind of carrot soup with another flavoring in it).
Being a standard bar, they seemed to have an adequate selection of alcohols, and we enjoyed talking about the cricket game with the English couple at the next table, but if you want a really good meal, there are probably better choices in Broadford.
The hotel apparently has a regular restaurant also, which might have better food than the bar did, but we didn't try that.

We held a surprise party for my parents at the Broadford Hotel. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. They were very relaxed about any requests and set up the room perfectly for us. The room was a very good size with patios that opened out into the decking area and beautiful garden. The children had great fun playing rounders! I recommend this hotel for any function, large or small.

My parents and I stayed here while touring Scotland's west coast. The hotel is lovely in a beautiful part of Scotland we drove up with no reservation and they couldn't be more helpful. The rooms are tasteful and the food is great we would recommend this hotel for anyone

Delighted with everything at Broadford Hotel Restaurant. Wonderful staff, excellent and imaginative food (vegetarian choices, yes plural), nice bottle of wine and views which are hard to equal. Good value too. All in all a great evening. Hope we can go again soon. Lucky us, we live in the same village.

Eat here, you will not be disappointed.

We live locally so did not stay so can't say what the accommodation is like.

Great location, oversized rooms and bathrooms, new carpet in hotel and hallways (not all rooms) a great breakfast with wonderful harbor views, and a fun pub all make this a sure bet stay. Only knocks I can give is a bit pricy vs other options and service in the pub was not attentive at all but in the restaurant and front desk excellent! An old grand dame hotel well kept and well located!

Good sized room with separate seating area with additional TV. Very modern and clean, huge bathroom with separate bath and power shower. Overall impression that hotel is generally well maintained. Staff very pleasant and helpful. They allow dogs which is a big plus for us. We ate in the bar on both nights, very nice and reasonable price. The local mussels are a must if you like seafood. Breakfast was served promptly and was very good. Would recommend and would return in future.

The hotel room was a good size, clean with a large bathroom and a sitting area. The breakfast was great. The town of Broadford does not have a lot in it, Portree is a better bet if you want to be in a village. We ate in the restaurant for dinner one night, no bread with our meal and when requested they charged us a pound for it, seemed very petty. The next night we went back to the dining room where they have some couches and tables and a bar and wanted a tea and dessert, the waiter, a young man with a limp, refused us service and sent us to the pub in the hotel. The barkeep there seemed VERY put out that she had to get us tea and milk. Overall, this aspect of the stay was a little disappointing.
