Like others, had spent a lot of time sourcing accommodation for our short stay in Skye and we chose well.

Our arrival time was later than expected, however, Sarah was extremely helpful when we contacted the B+B to advise this and we 'correctly' opted to dine in. And what a treat... Sarah spoilt us with delicious starters, mains and too heavenly crème brulee and sticky toffee pudding all accompanied by a very quaffable Shiraz. High five to the licence!

And if the food including the fabulous breakfasts didn't hit the mark, then the views over the loch from the lounge as the sun rose and set surely did - stunning.

Skye Picture House has amazing hosts. Both Stuart and Sarah are extremely knowledgeable and are more than happy to help you make the most of your stay with them, and your time on Skye.

It was a faultless stay and whilst we booked late and got the small double (which we knew about at time of booking), this didn’t dampen our experience. So, a huge thanks to Stuart and Sarah for a fabulous welcome to Skye.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back next year. Stuart and Sarah were excellent hosts..we have never felt more welcome. Their knowledge of the area, where to visit, walk, eat and drink was extremely useful, nothing seemed too much of a problem.

We agonised over finding a good B&B on Skye and finally opted for Stuart and Sarah's Skye Picture House. Its location is central and ideal for visiting all parts of the island. It is situated on the shore of a loch with views to the West and North providing spectacular sunsets over the Old Man of Stor in the distance. The room was immaculately clean and well-appointed with a very comfortable bed. Tea & coffee facilities in the room were a real treat for that first cuppa in the morning. Stuart and Sarah are delightful hosts with extensive knowledge of the area, helpful suggestions and 'Nothing is too much trouble' attitude. We had dinner in a restaurant the first night (Creelers; disappointing) and were 'Wowed' the second night by Sarah's fantastic cooking (don't bother going elsewhere, this girl can cook!). The breakfast is outstanding and will satisfy even the most ravenous. The lounge overlooking the loch is there for the guests in the evening and it was great fun meeting the others and sharing a whiskey and tales of our adventures on Skye. We cannot say enough about how kind and helpful our hosts were and would enthusiastically recommend this B&B.

Room Tip: Email Stuart and Sarah, I think they said room 1 is best. We stayed in 5 (no views) and were very ha...

Thank you so much!! We loved meeting you all especially adorable little Olivia. Good luck at school in the new term little girl! We aim to make all our rooms as comfortable as possible so there is not much in it, however if you are quick off the mark and book early, room one is a bit special with panoramic views of the loch and a bit more room. Hope to see you guys again.
Best wishes
Sarah and Stuart.

Have been visiting Skye for 44 years, and this is the best B&B I've ever stayed in. Stuart and Sarah lived up to all the positive comments from previous visitors, and were very friendly - starting with the cup of tea (gratis) the minute I checked in!
Sarah's cooking is fantastic, and I'd thoroughly recommend their dinners. As they have a table licence, and a veranda, it was very relaxing to unwind before dinner without the thought of driving a few miles. Plenty of choice on the menu - 3 courses plus coffee for £21. By Skye standards, that is a bagain.
Both make time to talk with their guests, and are happy to dispense advice on drives, ferries, events, etc. And Stuart could talk for days on mountaineering!!
A highlight was the mother Otter and her cubs in front of the house, but there was also a resident Heron, Seals and Red Deer on the skyline on Scalpay.
I look forward to returning as as soon as possible.

Room Tip: Try to book a room to the front, facing the Isle of Scalpay.

Such a nice place to stay in Skye: Not too big, nice atmosphere, staff/owners are really helpful (thanks Stuart !), a great view from the room (we stayed in #1) and great great breakfast. Only good points.
Broadford is just 15 or 20 min away, if you want to grab something to eat.
Hope to good back there as soon as possible :)

We found the Skye Picture House friendly and relaxing. Sarah and Stewart were excellent hosts. Stewart had an amazing knowledge of anything we asked him and Sarah dished us up a lovely meal each evening. We saw the otters, which was a real bonus. If we go to Skye again we would definately book with them (and the bed was very comfy)!

Room Tip: Our room overlooked the lake and was very quiet & peaceful.

Thank you for your review Skye is a very large Island and we always want people to make the most of their stay and not spend most of the time driving. Glad you saw the Otters which have been a little elusive lately, probably the light nights.
