Long weekend as a party of 6, this was the perfect base for a chilled out weekend. This property is quite simply beautiful. It has been newly renovated to a very high standard, the bathrooms are stunning, the kitchen is beautifully finished with high quality appliances (including a dishwasher...yay) and is very well equipped, very tasteful furnishings and accessories, wi-fi, it even has a utility and importantly it was spotlessly clean. The quirky floors and low doorway to the main bathroom are the only indication of how old this building really is and give it a real charm! As a previous reviewer stated there are outdoor stairs to get to the apartment but it really is worth the climb!
It's perfectly positioned on the harbour so you have a host of shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways on your doorstep...plenty to do within walking distance...I was slightly disappointed it was so mild we didn't have an excuse to fire up the woodburner and not go out!!.

The apartment is finished to a high standard and provides all the modern conveniences needed. The owners, who were great to deal with, have thoughtfully provided lots of booklets, pamplets etc. concerning local attractions. With a beautiful view over the harbour, Cala Bhreagha is right in the thick of the centre of town. You are literally steps away from the grocery store, the ironmongers (a hardware store that also sells wine and spirits), the chemist, a chocolatier's shop, a fantastic bakery and a whole raft of restaurants! Be aware that this central location means that you will very occasionally hear traffic or people heading home from the pub now and there are streetlights outside the window. The windows are all dressed with lined curtains which help greatly. There is one bedroom at the back of the apartment that is very quiet.
There's lots to do and see in Tobermory and certainly on the Isle of Mull. The Visitor Information Centre there can help you book any number of tours on land or water and provide you with lots of brochures and maps.
We are glad we visited Tobermory and stayed at Cala Bhreagha.

We would like to echo the sentiments of the last reviewer. Everything inside the apartment was very good. Very good facilities. Floorboards creaked like an old barn door, but this added to the overall ambience.
For us it fell short in two departments. The first was the entrance area to the apartment, off the harbour and past 4 rubbish bins down an alley. Up stone steps to a shared landing area. Not pleasant. The apartment bin was overflowing with last week's s guests rubbish. This was reported to the owner but nothing happened. I got rid of 6 bags of someone else's rubbish.
Also on the first night the main shower overflowed due to a blocked waste. Again nothing done. I unblocked it myself. I wont post the pictures as they are not pleasant.
When you pay good money you should expect some service and better attention when requested.
Loved the island and loved the inside of the apartment.
Tried to be fair.
Lovely flat with beautiful views. Beautifully furnished and kitchen has everything you could possibly need for self catering including a dishwasher. Very comfortable beds. Free internet. Left feeling very rested.
