We booked our whale watching trip, which lasted four hours, at the Mull visitor centre. The skippers were very friendly and it was a lovely day out. If you happen to be there in July / August or earlier, try to book a whale watching trip that also takes you to different islands such as Staffa for example.

The centre is located close to the Tobomory Distillery and packs in a lot for the size with several audio visual displays together with a good explanation of the local history

Made this a first port of call to discuss options available , the lady was very informative and honest with us. We decided on a 2 hour trip but because there was not enough people we went on the 4 hour boat trip. This was with Whalewatchwithus.com i think, the trip was £50 each which i thought was pretty steep. cant remember our captains name on the boat Paul maybe? georgina was his helper and i cant praise them both enough their knowledge of the area wildlife enthusiaism and observation skills were really impressive and the £50 was beginning to pay off. We saw sea eagles, gannets diving, shearwaters, shags, seals, my highlight was the minky whales. Loved it .

This was our first visit to Mull. We love Islands. Inside info. is therefore always a good idea and this place in Tobermory car park should be the first port of call.
Both Nicky and Tim certainly know their stuff and could not be more helpful in arranging a trip out on a boat, a land safari, a bird watch, where to go, where to stay, or any other thing you need!!!!!
Amazing the pair of them.
Start your visit here and you will not be disappointed.
Thank you both for making our stay on Mull a brilliant experience.
