Very charismatic old world real drinkers pub. Always very popular and a welcome respite from the rain. This is the place to be for a pint even if the tap selection is less than other bars.

Nipped in as we had a long lunch break, October '12. The patron immediately took pity on us in our neoprene and fleeces. But it wouldn't be right to vist Mull, and not have a drink in the 'Nish.

The bar is simple but smart and tidy. This is clearly a proud house. Compared to some cosy pubs, it's a good size inside, with plenty of corners, bays, recesses. Feeling of character.

As it was late October, and despite the beautiful day / week of flat calm, the roaring fire in the grate was a welcome indeed. May yer loom ever reek. Steve actually had his wallet, and a couple of 'Geordie' moths managed to escape in the process. So we had a couple of halves, as "The Font" got a half in too, i was moved.
Only sampling halves, but the landlords recommendation hit the spot, well kept, and tasty.

The 'Nish met all of my expectations, and is a warm welcoming place, can't rate highly enough.
